Oh I thought that was Claire at first.
It started business but she started getting emotionally attached (Daddy Issues) and Frank saw this so he capitalized on it by letting her think he was attracted to her.
Eventually she saw through his ruse and started to distance herself and he was butt hurt about it but he still tried to maintain a mutually beneficial relationship.
Then she started asking too many questions and became a loose end that had to be tied up.
In the BBC version, their relationship was way more fucked up in a classy way.

Why do you want that to be adapted? It was conceived and carefully written for the video game media, and takes full advantage of it. The game uses feelings the sense of wonder the player has towards the Colossi to inform the "story". An adaptation would have to fall short on those aspects. It could be a fun movie, but wouldn't really be the same thing as the sorce material and fans like you would cry it was shit.
