For those who have seen leaked images of Gal Gadot for the new Wonder Woman movie: remember that all of this is going to be recolored to look really dark and blue (as the movie preview shots show here).
As a big fan of BvS and MoS: I really wish that DC did not color their movies like this. Why would you want to make her costume look so blue and gray?
I am in no way hating on this new movie: all the leaked photos show that it is going to be a full on kickass movie and Gal proved she IS Wonder Woman in my eyes! I just wish we got to see her in actual color.

Okay so this flopped and was as terrible as everyone said it would be.
But a genderswapped ghostsbusters was not a bad idea IMO, they just did everything wrong.
How could we make it work?
My idea is to make a movie guys actually want to see. Four cute girls with different personalities playing the ghostsbusters in a movie made for the original target audience + normal people.
A movie that's all for the original audience and made to be enjoyed by them and not taken so seriously, like an anime gender swap but in live action.
Instead i think this movie bombed for three clear reasons.
1. The girls were ugly as hell.
2: the movie was just plain terrible.
2. the marketers thought attacking the target audience and calling them sexist was going to sell movies.

Why did the Republic or the Empire not make any attempt to explore other nearby spiral galaxies? The fastest ships are able to cross the galaxy in a couple of days so a trip to another galaxy can't take more than a couple of weeks. Food and water rationing wouldn't be that hard.
According to the old cannon, the home galaxy had several dwarf elliptical satellite galaxies that were close enough that ships traveled to them regularly, but no attempt was made to travel to another major galaxy, even though several extragalactic species are known to have taken up residence in (ortried to conquer) the home galaxy.
Will we see this concept come to fruition in episode 8, 9?

So, I saw it about 25 years ago. a copy was floating around back in the days of video cassette trading/pirating. It wasn't labeled or anything, it was just on a tape of gore- didn't know what it was exactly until years later. I think I may even still have my copy. It had degraded quality from having been copied so many times but it went down like you would expect. She said that thing, pulled the gun out and shot herself in the side of the head in one quick motion and slumped forward onto the newsdesk. The other broadcaster had a look of horror on his face. There wasn't any big blood splatter or anything, it sort of looked fake until she started slumping forward and then you can just tell that she's dead. They cut to commercial really fast.
