I've noticed something. The more I watch Marvel movies, the worse they get. The plot is generic and predictable, the pacing is horrible, characters have no development or real motivations.
Meanwhile DC movies keep getting better. I appreciate the cinematography, the perfect pacing, how the characters change through the movie and how great the villains are.

Great taste.
The MCU is such a profitable, wasteland of nothingness. I had to endure watching the first Avengers movie last week, and everything about it screams "TV movie" apart from the very expensive CGI. The bland point and shoot style, the flat colors, the minute by minute one liners from every fucking character. It wasn't awful, beautiful, exciting, eye roll worthy, or any worthwhile descriptor I can think of. The one I can think of is bland. The Avengers was so goddamn bland.
Joss Whedon's ode to monotonous triviality cost $220 million according to Boxofficemojo, not including the huge fucking advertising budget. That money could've been split up between a variety of veteran auteurs and skilled newcomers, making a wide range of movies in every genre.
Instead we were given the advent of capeshit by a piece of uninteresting human trash who's history of TV directing was exactly that, and who's history of actual comic writing was a disaster every time.

I loved Batman v Superman, and look forward to what is coming, but sadly it's far too early to tell if it will be good overall.
Marvel is odd, in that the 'big' movies play it safe, and are only good for mindless, brain-off, entertainment. Which is fine. Not everything has to be [Insert Intellectual and Artistic film.
However, Guardians was basically all the fun of Star Wars again. Ant-Man was fun and interesting. I still rate Winter Soldier highly. I actually enjoyed Dark World....

We should consider the maifa/mob a Fantasy setting like Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Princes Bride, the Wizard of Oz. It's exactly as fantastic and unbelievable as any of those classics.

>DERE'S NO SUCH TING AS DA MAWFIA, IMA LEGITAMAT BIZNESS MAN
Is it good or naw?
I watched it. It's not good.
They should have gone the supernatural route rather than him just dealing with random lame criminals.
I'm like 7 episodes in. I wouldn't recommend it desu. It's getting really bad and Lucifer is a cuck that follows around some married cop chick.

Would you record an 1080 HD sex tape with Leslie Jones if you got a blank check to fund any movie or television series you wanted to produce?
Has to be at least 15 minutes and you have to kiss her on the mouth and go down on her.
I would do it to get my pilot produced.

That's Order of the Phoenix, how that is possible, considering it was the best book, is unfathomable to me, but OOTP is the worst movie yet best book of the series.

It's a fantastic slow melancholic drama/thriller. I hope you haven't seen the trailer, because it shows every scene in the movie.
Just came backfrom the cinema, really good first impression.
Music and visuals were really fitting, I didn't get all the symbolism and allegories but I enjoyed it regardless.
Bonus point is that every single scene includes a hot girl.
I'm not surprised by the negative reviews because it's a movie which polarises opinions, either you love it or you hate it and consider it a cheap piece of trash.
>>71197331
There's nothing subtle about it. So much foreshadowing and spoonfeeding so even dumb-ass Americans will also get it.
What? No way!
You know I have the transcript.

Would you let Mike teach you Intro to Film Theory at your college?

my college only has schools of technology, science and business/econ.
where would he fit in?
Shilling aside, /t/. What's your opinion on him?
His character annoys me, desu. The constant studdering and "hmm"s were just irritating. I expected a more stern, yet sarcastic Lex. Lex is supposed to be intimidating. There's nothing intimidating about Eisenberg's Luthor.
And I hate when people on Facebook or IG defend this by saying "This is just the beginning of Luthor's path!!!!" "He'll be the Lex we all know!!!" Do they not understand that Jesse Eisenberg as an actor CAN'T be intimidating? His voice....
