Will there ever be a show as good as Rome, /tv/?
spartacus is better not even trying to start a kerfuffle

How is it possible for one person to have such shit taste?
>The Rains of Castamere is the best GoT episode
What a fucking pleb opinion. One scene in the last five minutes doesn't make it GOAT, especially as the episode is pretty average up until then. The same goes for those who say Crawl Space is the best Breaking Bad episode.
Blackwater is obviously the best one.
This was the last episode I watched, I just needed to see Robb and his stupid wife die so I could wallow in my hatred for the show.
>>64561376
It's the best episode cause showfags got so utterly BTFO

Did anyone else not give a shit about the Starks?
Why do you hate him so much /tv/?
Is it because he makes movies about straight white males without any degeneracy? Would you rather he be more like your favourite Rabbi JJ Abrams?
people just like to always point out that boyhood took 12 YEARS TO MAKE. i love linklater btw

>Why do you hate him so much /tv/?

If I met him in real life I'd fucking kill him.
“Hipster Patriarchy” might be a better title for Richard Linklater’s Boyhood. Depicting a white American male from childhood to adolescence, it celebrates the emblematic figure of American social power. Starting with youth’s inherent innocence and appeal, Linklater gives his protagonist, Mason (Ellar Coltrane), centrality in the passing parade of his Texas family (including a sister and divorced parents) and then, ultimately, confers importance upon Mason and his “normalcy.”
Sure enough, the cultural media have responded on cue: Praising the deliberately mundane Boyhood fits the pattern unconsciously followed by most culture writers (who also tend to be white males) seeking to confirm their own privilege and importance — but without examining it. Some women and men of other races also worship this unscrutinized authority, which partly explains why Linklater’s lackluster filmmaking (from Suburbia, Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, and Before Midnight to School of Rock and the atrocious Bernie) almost always gets overrated.
As much as fanboys falling for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Linklater’s think-alike idolators seem to have forgotten the significant films Boyhood imitates. The widely hyped story of Boyhood’s twelve-year production ignores the similar periodic method English director Michael Apted employed on the documentary series 7 Up (he filmed a group of British schoolkids at seven-year intervals); the hype also ignores how François Truffaut’s Antoine Doinel series (from The 400 Blows, Love at Twenty, and Stolen Kisses to Bed and Board and Love on the Run) encompassed a 20-year span in the fictional youth’s life.
Just came out of watching this monstrosity
how is garbage like this allowed to be made?
>>64561302
because idiots like you pay to see it.
>>64561302
saw the trailer, action scenes looked neat though. Is the story just the same?
>>64561343
Kinda, not really. They made the badies crazy people in some mission of god, they just end up coming off as psychopatchs.
the movie just had no direction, no likeable characters or anything memorable really.
Why would one waste his/her genius on film? It will never be considered real art and deservedly so. Sorry Tark, you died for nothing.
he didnt waste nothing, his films are crap
>>64561674
>he didn't waste nothing
so he wasted something?
What was your experience when watching this scene?
In the theater last night, when Jackson's character said "WARM" everyone in the theater audibly gasped, all hands were gripping the seat rests except for all the women's, their hands were up at their mouths, some covering them, some nervously playing with their lips. Then Jackson said, "BLACK", and about a dozen people all slipped out of their seats onto the ground. The girl to my left had moved both hands down to her crotch in a "V" rubbing her crotch faster and faster, while the guy next to me literally started crying. When Jackson said, "DINGUS" a full cheer broke out, people were whooping and climbing over the seats, congratulating one another, a group of young black men were sitting in the very top back of the theater and were soon swarmed by about two dozen girls (and boys) doing god knows what, as the entire group cheered with hands over their heads.
I left to use the bathroom and when I returned the theater was empty with a dozen or so corpses of young white girls.
Hbu?
>>64560931
Many keks were had by the audience.
At the opening of the intermission (had to explain to my dad that, yes, there was an actual intermission) some guy shouted "Dude! Lemmy's dead!" and the entire theater fucking froze. Most of us didn't know who that was, so we assumed it was some guy who was actually in the theater.
Did it actually happen or was he just fucking with the old man to get him to attack him?

After reading a few reviews and seeing how he ripped off some of his earlier movies, it killed me rating of the film. Not that my opinion matters to anyone else but for my own sake I like sitting down and weighing the pros and cons. Overall, I loved the movie. First viewing I thought it was okay but after my second, I was considering it to be more enjoyable than Django (The D is silent hillbilly). For me, it is an extremely quotable film and I enjoyed the long wait to get to the second half where the shit hits the fan. I felt that if Tarantino could have figured out another way to harm Warren and keep Tatum's character out of the film, it would have been better.
Is this considered a good film in France?
Holy crap is it ever boring.
>97% Rotten Tomatoes rating
>Criterion Collection
Bull fucking shit.
It's from Belgium you pleb, what didn't you like about it? I thought it was one of the best films of 2014

I've cycled thru the same 3 playlists on my phone for the last 5 years. Probably add about 3-4 songs a year. As for television and film, I'm still pretty with it. Enough to keep up with the losers on this board, anyway.

Pretty much this
In high school I was down with the niggers and their slang and music
Since I've graduated and stopped conversing and relating with them their newfangled trends seem strange to me
I already have the shitty cynical "back in my day things were less shitty" mentality
What does /tv/ think about watching films on phones?

I love Tarantino movies but why is he such a memer?
>fake brands that appear in all his movies
>always the same actors
>he acts in his own movies
>feet scenes
>references to old shit movies
>multi-racial "gangs"
>overuse of the words "nigger" and "bitch"
I would totally cast myself in my own flicks, and if I had a feet fetish I would also totally have a scene in every flick where I massage one.
Plus most of his characters smoke while no one smokes in the 21st century in 1st world countries
>>64560461
That's known as being an auteur.
Basically having your own personal memes put into each film so people know it's you who made it.

Thank you for this beloved memory Based George. Disney will never, EVER recreate this type of magic and mysticism for the kids of today. All they'll get are boring saber fights with faux-emotions and uninspired film capeshit-esque stock music scores to accompany them.
Thank You George! Your contributions to cinema will never be forgotten.
