But, why would adults like her? Saying nothing about Ridley's performance, and leaving out the issue of Rey possibly being a Mary SueI frankly think she is but again leaving that out, what was particularly likable or interesting about her character?
I mean, she has more character than BB-8, and I guess she's more interesting than Poe (aka "cool funny joke man"), but I'm much more interested in Ren or even Finn as characters. Rey just has nothing going for her.

Avatar is such a weird anomaly. It’s the highest grossing film EVER (not adjusting for inflation) by a huge margin and yet it left virtually no footprint on popular culture. It had its 15 minutes of fame to the tune of $2.7 billion dollars worldwide, and within a few years it’s like no one remembers it even existed.
