Her is one of the best movies in recent years. It is a good parody of modern life where no one can communicate with one another and people who search wildly for purpose. It is funny how the most human character was a robot

Whenever the scene with the Joker's video of Brian Douglas from The Dark Knight is discussed, there's always at least a few people who talk about how this scene was received in theaters. Namely, people in the theater were usually laughing or otherwise reaction to the Joker being goofy (patting Brian's face, hoo-hoo laugh, etc) right until the almost growl-like "LOOK AT ME!" line, at which point "it went so quiet you could hear a pin drop."
Did this really happen on any significant scale? Or is it people retroactively applying "awe"...

I don't recall. But the "look at me" line is repeated a few times and usually means the Joker is about to fuck some shit up.
It's menacing line delivery, that much is true, but I don't remember the reaction in the theater.
>>67561342
I remember people kinda giggling at first and then screaming at the LOOK AT ME line
then again I was at the midnight premiere which usually draws the most enthusiastic crowds. People where whooping and hollering at that Batcycle 180 off the wall and cheered when Gordon captured Joker.

The shakycam and home film nature of that scene gave the same feel as a snuff reel or a radical islamist about to execute somebody vibe
What did Daniel say to him /tv/?

"You truly are classic".
Why did Jackson ruin this with outrageous physics? Cut out four or five scenes and you have a good trilogy.
Yes, cutting down pieces from a turd will make it less of a turd but it's still a turd.
The Third one was The biggest piece of shit and disappointment i have ever seen. No fucking Story, only constant stupid action. Just awful

Dawn of Justice brings to the fantasy some contemporary, real-world concerns. This is not conventional comic-book allegory; rather, Snyder uses the figures of Batman and Superman walloping each other to give visible substance to social and moral issues, much as Greek tragedy does. He takes the wildest, Bizarro World fiction — of two superheroes turned super foes — and uses the premise to explicate our current dilemmas concerning power, principles, and divinity.
It helps that Snyder is also visionary,...

Is it really this terrible?
No, probably closer to the 55-60 range. Nothing amazing but not that bad at all.
>>67559959
No its kino but in a rough form.
Critics just have shitty taste who get hard for quips, one liners and happy endings.
Also the majority are payed off by Disney
>>67559959
I just saw it
It's not that good but still manages to shine since marvel set the bar so low
It had many flaws but still managed to be entertaining
6,5/10
Too bad WB will turn this into another franchise monster within 5 years

So what exactly was the message of this movie? Just greed is bad? Because Daniel Plainview doesn't seem like an ordinary person you could set up as an example of what greed does to a person.
>>67559755
No real takeaway message I dont think
Just a story about greed personified and how ugly (yet somehow appealing it is)
It's just a portrayal of a man's downward spiral.
>>67559755
No deep message just shows the effect that greed and power can affect and change how a man interacts with the world around him.

>Darkseid enslaves everyone
lex isn't dumb enough to get duped by Darkseid

Pretty good motivation imo
With all of the debate surrounding the release of BvS and the Marvel universe, I've decided to compile a chart to help this board understand the different tiers of capery.
Please refer to this when discussing capeshit so as not to appear unintelligent.
