Face it, anon. This was perfect. Why would you end by giving the fans a death? When did The Walking Dead EVER end on a finale where someone who mattered died anyway (don't say Andrea)? This was a smart decision and the butthurt will not overrun the rampant fanboyism for a shit tier television show. The Walking Dead's only getting started. Normies are immune to the nonsensical nature and bad execution/acting of the show. I know because I was one of them for 3 seasons, I literally could not see how bad the acting was/execution until I took a step back after Season 3 when nothing happened and realised "oh wait, its a bowl of shit."
A lot of people don't have that ability or simply refuse to let you realise what they're watching is shit. They immediately put up defenses like "IF YOU DONT LIKE IT DONT WATCH IT" or "I'M ENTITLED TO MY OPINION." Enjoy what you want man and not to get too deep into it but i personally believe there's two common traits of people who watch this show, and its gorefags who are usually unable to admit they're gorefags because they're casuals or people who've never come face to face with their fear of death because their natural armour is too high.

The finale was shitcanned by all the press and a majority of fans, dude. Say what you want, but what happened here was a genuine slap in the face to the fans in a desperate attempt to make the season 7 opener have higher ratings.
We all know it'll be Abraham anyway. They cheated his death to take the doctor so that they could orchestrate this to begin with. THey knew nobody would care about Abraham dying, so they let the audience fear it was a chracter people actually liked.
Negan picks his victim and starts wailing on him (lets just say glenn for arguments sake)
He starts screaming for help but negan gives the whole "hes taking it like a champ" speech and kills him
Screaming from some of the group and negan cleans Lucille off, rick stands and gets a gun from a saviour, they all aim at him
Rick looks defeated but full on rage in his eyes.
Negan tells him: "from now on, half of everything you own is ours, i dont want to have to to tell you twice"(waving his bat at glenn or whoever)
"So tomorrow, we are gonna paybyou a visit"
He takes the gun from rick, takes out half the bullets and gives him the gun back loaded with a big grin on his face
"See you tomorrow"
Walks off with rick still aiming the gun at him as the saviours leave with tears streaming down his face whilst maggie is screaming for glenn
Thats how you do a fucking finale
