just saw this for the first time, holy. i've never seen a movie so painfully pretentious and utterly boring.
nobody here actually likes this right? if so, why?

I think Civil War is more your speed
>>68834102
If you didn't get it that's on you, not the film. It's really not even that hard to understand dude.

Terrible, terrible, memetext story OP.
Very terrible.
Guys, is Tom going to be alright?
>KINDA HOT IN HERE GUYS
He's richer than the pharaohs with a career and life nobody here will ever hope to match.
Yes, he'll be fine. Just because someone ages like a human doesn't mean it is any cause for alarm.
Concentrate on your own life; you might be happier than you are now.
Those audits have been draining his energy
"I'm gonna do to your face what Limp Bizkit did to music in the late 90s"
What did he mean by this?

For you.

He was going to skullfuck him
So /tv/, what's the best route to get into Tarkovsky? I've always found his films to be too obtuse for me. I saw Nosthalgia and didn't get it, what should I do /tv/? Is there a certain mindset I should have? Where should I start?
>>68833633
>I saw Nosthalgia and didn't get it, what should I do /tv/?
Don't watch his movies? Why would you force yourself to watch a director you don't like?
Ivan's Childhood -> Andrei Rublev -> Stalker -> Solaris -> The Sacrifice -> Nostalghia -> Mirror
>>68833671
Because I feel like if I could get into him there could be a lot to gain and enjoy. Do you just immediately stop watching movies you don't get?

>Netflix and the BBC are teaming on a blockbuster adaptation of children’s favorite Watership Down. The four-part animated miniseries is the brainchild of dynamic Brit production-management banner 42. The series will premiere on BBC One in the UK and internationally on Netflix. An A-list collection of talent has been assembled for the project including Star Wars: The Force Awakens‘ John Boyega, James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, Ben Kingsley and...

i've dreamed about another adaptation of Watership Down for fucking years so they better do it right. The Beeb are usually pretty good at things like this, just as long as Boyega does his lovely polite voice.

>i've dreamed about another adaptation of Watership Down for fucking years
Me too, never thought it would happen, though. It sounds promising, not trying to cram it into 90 minutes and not trying to milk several seasons out of it.

It gives them enough space to let Adams world-building breath. The 70s animated film is so sort of odd and tonally unsure of itself (doesnt stop it from being great obviously) that it ends up moving at quite a fast pace, but there's so much deep lore in the book about the rabbits and their language and the common language of the wild animals (hedgerow) and rabbit culture and mythology and El-Ahraihrah, prince of a thousand enemies, that would be absolutely amazing to see on screen.

She was in "the truth about cats and dogs".
Figured I'd revisit my childhood considering current events and watch the original Power Rangers. Guys, I think I'm in love with Trini. I don't know why she never excited me as a kid (inb4 puberty; every ten-year old wanted to eat out Kimberly).
Like seriously, insta-crush.
Please tell me there's more. I barely remember the show.
She died in a car crash.
Billy left the show because he's gay and the other actors wouldn't stop harassing him about it.
>>68833603
Man, at least post the pasta...
Friendly reminder that the original black black ranger was cast as black because the main character needed a black best friend, then got fired because he wanted to get paid as much as the caucasian rangers. He voices several monsters in the later seasons.
Friendly reminder that the original pink ranger fucked the white ranger and then quit the show to pursue a film career, becoming a totally unheard of actress until a brief resurgence at the beginning of this decade before...

How do we fix Star Wars?
BECAUSE

Because /film/ was actually hell
Wow, that was awful. Who cares about Elektra?
>>68833006
While I still like Season 2 overall I think they made a mistake trying to cram both Punisher and Elektra into the same season.
The Punisher plotline feels under-developed because he was easily the best part of the season. A longer arc where we saw more of him, on the hunt and in court, could have been really cool.
With Elektra and the ninjas, it feels really rushed and no answers to anything are given. Why's there a big hole? Is that where the iron coffin thingy was? What is a Black Sky? Someone...

nobody. she's terrible.
>>68833221
To me it's not that she needed to be fleshed out more, she was just inherently uninteresting. Putting her with the Punisher made it even worse by comparison.
