Whats /tv/'s thoughts on it? I remember seeing the trailer way back and thinking it a bit weird premise, as I was in a relationship at the time.. But im not currently, overall it was really thought provoking.

I liked it, I don't remember it super well but it was definitely one of my favorite on-screen portrayals of the future that I've ever seen. Really interesting expansion of technologies we already have without being stupid or silly.

TDK impresses me mostly because it stands on its own. I mean, no BB is entirely forgettable and TDKR sucks ass. One role in one movie somehow makes an entire trilogy good. Funny stuff.

What does /tv/ think of Richard Linklater?
Personally, I think he's brilliant and Everybody Wants Some is among my favorite films of the year, if not, the last five years.

I've more or less appreciated his entire filmography but I'd understand if people found his films boring and/or pretentious

He definitely has his outspoken detractors on this board (DUDE RLM 12 YEARS LOL) but I've seen a lot of good decent people that understand what he's going for. Slacker is definitely one of my favorite movies of all time and Everybody Wants Some!! is a top 5 movie of the year for sure.

Does anyone even care about the Prometheus sequel Alien Covenant?

Im far more excited for Neill Blomkamp's Alien 5. We get Ripley and Hicks back with a proper follow up to the first 2 films. Weyland-Yutani will be back in all of their sketchy coporate dealings glory with an intense action packed storyline...enough is said to declare a "fuck off" on Alien Covenant.

Prometheus was boring as fuck anyways and an utter flop ratings wise. Why is there even being a sequel made? Oh it made 400 million at the box office. So that makes it a good movie and...

It's an amusing TV show that would work better without Dan Harmon's bullshit. Some people, especially ones that started off publishing their work online, are much funnier outside of the constraints of a traditional sitcom formula. I mean, just look at Brad Neely's newest show vs China, IL. China, IL was amusing, but his hands were tied by the narrative format, and Harg Nallin' Sclopio Peepio is a lot funnier because it doesn't have a narrative format.
