WE WUZ SOLJERZ N SHEIT
The major plot devices:
SPOILERS.
>Luke Skywalker is not the Jedi he once was. Aging has resulted in diminished power, but what he lacks as a warrior, he makes up for with wisdom.
>Rey suffers from nightmares similar in nature to her flashback from touching the lightsaber that end with her intense hatred and anger and hurt. It is later revealed this is because she and Kylo Ren share a bond in the force that was created when she resisted his mind probe and fought back in The Force Awakens.
>Kylo Ren is absent for much of the film, and in the story the Resistance takes note of his mysterious absence to attack First Order holding cells across the Galaxy. Finn and Poe lead these missions. On one of the missions, Finn rescues another Stormtrooper, a girl, who wants to defect like he did (Tran)
>Luke tells Rey the tale of Kylo Ren's fall*
>Finn and Poe succeed in their missions and they convince Maz and Leia to support them in an assault on a First Order Stormtrooper conditioning facility.
>Luke begins teaching Rey the Ways of the Force. Rey has a vision and decides to leave to help Finn.
>Finn and Poe lead the assault against a First Order commander (Del Toro) fighting breaks out with some of the new Stormtroopers remaining loyal to First order while others turn on their captors.
>Amidst the chaos, Finn's new female companion turns on him.
>Tran
>Rey and Luke arrive and aide in the fight.
>Many Resistance and liberated Stormtroopers alike stand in awe of Luke.
>The battle turns in the Resistance favor. Rey hunts for Finn.
>She finds him and gets him out. They are stopped by Kylo Ren.
>Finn gets away and Rey fights Kylo Ren again. Luke arrives but is separated by a large chasm, forced to watch the fight from afar.
>Kylo Ren beats Rey. He tells her he beat her because his training is complete. He tells her he studied the Darkside and all its most famous users. He tells her The former Emperor had a daughter, who herself had a daughter, and that they both vanished 20 years ago. He tells her he believes she is of "royal blood" and beckons she join him.
>Luke arrives and trades himself for Rey. Kylo agrees, but promises he and Rey will meet again soon. Kylo takes Luke into captivity and Rey makes it out of the base to be rescued by Poe and Chewie in the Falcon.
>They tend to her injuries and Rey and Finn are finally reunited at the Resistance Base. Poe immediately begins plotting the rescue of Luke Skywalker.
>Rey seeks a private meeting with Maz Kanata. Rey asks her about the things Kylo Ren told her, and Maz confirms the legitimacy of his claims. They have a talk about what's in a name and the predisposition of good and evil in a person. Maz explains Ren was a Skywalker and he chose the dark side. She reassures Rey everyone, no matter their heritage, can create their own destiny.

This sounds really gay
>It’s not about what I want; it’s about what’s fair! You thought we could be decent men in an indecent time! But you were wrong. The world is cruel, and the only morality in a cruel world is chance. Unbiased. Unprejudiced. Fair. His son’s got the same chance she had: 50/50.
This quote is uttered by Harvey Dent in The Dark Knight. Unfortunately for Dent, his train of thought is demonstrably false.
By the end of The Dark Knight, Dent's philosophy is that a coin toss is the only unbiased and fair method of going through life. Indeed, if one believes that coin flips are actually 50/50, it makes sense. However, studies have shown that coin flips are actually closer to 51/49. (http://econ.ucsb.edu/~doug/240a/Coin%20Flip.htm) Dent's whole line of thinking is completely groundless, held up solely by a falsehood that simply refuses to die.
Of course, the 51/49 figure is actually quite generous. Newly minted coins are unavoidably somewhat blemished due to the minting process, and only continue to accumulate bacteria, smudges, dings, and (pun intended) Dents that accumulate over time - these, of course, greatly skew the chances, and that's not even getting into Dent's coin's horrendously scarred backside (charred in an explosion).
In conclusion, LITERALLY all that Batman would have to do in order to stop Two-Face is let him know how greatly the odds are skewed in a coin toss. Of course, this never occurs to the World's Greatest Detective, and he is forced to break his one rule in a flagrantly out-of-character moment.
Bravo Nolan.
dent's coin was originally a double tailed(faced?) coin. it was then marked during the explosion just like his face was. your argument is based on the premise that he's using a minted coin.
your premise is flawed.
so your argument is flawed.
so your thread is flawed.
therefore you are a flawed faggot

Except my argument isn't flawed. I was using the minted coin example simply to show how every coin has minor imperfections which eventually accumulate. The same holds true for Dent's coin.

What was the last genuinely funny film to come out of cinema?
Was it pic related?
Granted it was by the same people, but I thought the first Naked Gun was hilarious.

There will be people out there who don't believe that this was basically on the same level as BvS.
Mind you, I enjoyed both, but recognize that they both are littered with problems. I'm just someone who can enjoy different movies I guess. The main difference here was tone. BvS was darker than this, which isn't really a bad thing to me, I'm tired of quip fest 5,000.
Problems with Cap movies are the action being shoddy and shaky cam, and in this one there's a few characters introduced that we barely have time to give a fuck about. Marvel had the advantage here with 9 or so movies before establishing these characters, and they still fucked it up and had to introduce BP and Spidey.
Biggest problem in both, they were overcrowded with characters and side plots. I guess ensemble superhero films are just hard to make.
BvS is looking better now tbqh
The problem here is that they copied things from the original script (that had nothing to do with Civil War) and pasted them on this movie. The original idea was having Avengers 3 to be about that.
I disagree with you in the BP and Spidey part tho, the former was well handled and the latter was regular. Also, i'm glad the humor was balanced here.

I just didn't think Black Panther had enough time for me to care about him. Sort of same with Spidey, but I know him so well that I'll give you that. Tom Holland was good. He's got a lot of promise.
I have a fun theory that CIA is going to his demise at the hands of Robin.
>Robin will eventually find out that LF murdered his mom
>He will swear revenge
>He'll be the person LF least expects since LF considers him to be a sniveling idiot
>Schemers always meet their demise at the hands of people they least expect
Will there be some kind of "Azor Ahai stands alone..." "Not alone" with CIA and the Vale army when Jon fights against Ramsey?
ahh the sweetrobin master plan

Because /tv/ is full of plebs.
In fact, you'd think that /tv/ would love all of Waters's output, given that he's essentially just shitposting IRL for decades.

Okay lads, this is gonna be a tough one. There is a movie scratching away at my brain but I can for the life os me figure it out. Please help me try to find it. Here's all what I know :-
>Foreign language film, French or German but I can't be sure
>I think its English title was School Bus or Magic School Bus
>Film is filled with child actors. Can't remember a single adult.
>They go on a school trip on the bus but end up in some haunted amusement park (?)
This is all I can remember, I know its not much to go on but please try to tell me what movie this is. Thank you so much!

Hmmmmm I wonder....
ITS NOT THE MAGIC SCHOOL BUS ITS NOT THAT CARTOON REEEEEEE I HAVE SEEN WAY TOO MANY LINKS OF IT TRYING TO FIND THIS MOVIE
This is a magic school bus thread now, everyone post your favorite episodes.
Did they shoot the action sequences in this movie at some weird frame rate? Why did all the action look like stop motion? It wasn't even that the camera seemed shaky, it looked like there were frames missing. It looked like laggy video game. I saw it on an almost IMAX sized screen and felt physically sick.
Agreed. The action was too fast for the framerate, felt like watching a shitty video game.
How did this movie get so highly rated? It was shit on the camrip.
>>69161535
It didn't help that the editing was terrible.
The chase through the tunnel is laughable.
