Why is this part of Spain so bad at football? If you check wikipedia articles for different seasons of La Liga there's a map that shows where every team is based in the country. Every region is region is regularly represented except Extermadura. I've checked every season, all the way back to 1929, and they only had a team in the top league during 4 seasons. It's actually shocking. Like, what the fuck?
Any spanish anons care to explain what is wrong with this region?

Is there a particular reason why USA and Canada don't give a fuck about football ? It's literally the most popular sport in a lot of countries, but for some reason people don't seem to enjoy watching football games there, not even talking about people who enjoy playing it.
I heard here and there that it's currently growing in the USA, is this true ?
Best way to put it Jacques is that it's not in our culture, nor practiced in the common American and Canadian household.
Sure, some parents let there kids play soccer when they were young, but if they were athletic at all, they'd push them towards Baseball or whatever they're into.
Also, games weren't widely broadcast here in the USA till the 90s, even then it was cable (still is to this day)
Our local league was barely founded 20 years ago...just let that sink in as well. We're doing pretty good in expanding and growing a fanbase to...
