The "everything must be a general" mindset seems to be increasingly more prevalent on /co/. Just seems to be more and more threads with people sticking General at the end of teh subject without having an actual topic.
This being for shows that don't even usually have a general either and I've seen a few posts asking why there isn't a general for X or Y.
It's a shame, I honestly find it to be quite a cancerous mindset. Generals aren't inherently bad, but everyone knows what they usually end up as being and it'd be nicer if people made threads when they had an actual topic or point of discussion rather than "there just needs to be one lol".
That said, janitor on /co/ is far less likely to delete your thread if it's a general than if you have some humorous comment instead so the mods on /co/ aren't helping at all
