Uh, doesn't Buyee have instructions on how to sign up? Once you have a account, search auctions though Buyee using "Seiko (movement number)" sort low to high in price and enjoy the inscrutable pictures, hilarious engerish Google translations and the stupidly cheap prices.

I just need to decide which one I buy. I'd love to buy the LE Reserve, but I'm afraid I would never use it if fear of damaging it and loosing my investment.

pretty much the worst attempt at a troll I've ever seen desu
Turned out okay for my first try, could definitely use a lot of improvement.
>>54573819
Wew lad, this post is some unique bait I haven't seen for a long time. 4/10 for effort
>>54574474
pretty cool, did you put the flap in between them to avoid the buckle-on-crystal issue or did you find that to be unnecessary?
>>54574518
I made the canvas pretty long so there won't really be an issue with the crystal's scratching against each other or against buckles. It's big enough that both watches can sit crystal side to the bottom and not be bulky, and the leather lace tightens so that they sit and stay in place.
>>54574547
Oh, that's one way to address it. I think the w&w one is short enough that it might be necessary for the protective flap because they made it as small as practical to make it compact, which would necessitate alternating the watches in the case. What kind of leather did you use?
>>54573952
I would suggest checking the value of the watch online, then committing to purchase or not, the second one whilst still ghey is less ghey than the first.
It's down to your taste in the two
>>54571948

>>54574474
I like it, i don't like the croc leather but that's my personal taste, the design is solid though bro would buy in a different material
>>54574583
It was my first attempt at it, definitely not as skilled as little Chinese workers, but I do okay. The leather is a patterned lamb skin I think.
>>54573819
The real opinion?
Better off buying a sarb, or halios, or skx
>>54574474
I like it, but the cheap looking leather rope ruins the look a little bit.
>>54575625
It's a piece of lace. Not really anything else I can use. I have elastic rope, kinda looks okay.
I'm going to make another one today. Looking at tutorials for pattern making and other things to see if I can refine it.
>>54575684

>>54575684
Fair enough.
Using something synthetic instead of leather shouldn't be a bad ideal either.
>>54575696
I do have some snaps. Just trying to think of ways to make it easier to produce. I already have an idea in my head for making the body shape.
Swiss cheese>Japanese cheese
>tfw all on time
>>54575758
A Vostok importer made these pouches. The body of the watch sits beneath the snap while the strap fits down the inside length. I think a detachable cover isn't the best, a strap around the top would work better.

As far as i recall the guy is a Russian who occasionally posts here.
Funny enough, that's a custom insert that costs ~10$ on it's own. Plus that chink mesh strap is another 15$.
The entire point of Amphibia's is getting a blank canvas to create your own watch, since they pack a punch way above their price range. You could just buy one and add the bezel&insert later on.

Depends on your wrist really.
If it's at least 6.75 inch, ideally 7inch go for the 110. Any smaller go for the 420.
I got a 7.25inch wrist and the 420case doesn't quite sit quite as well as the 710 or 090.

Post a picture of the worst watch do you own and a reason why you hate it.
Any good and cheap quartz military watches? (non-vietnam ones)
>>54583223
I'm starting to hate My HMT-s. They're starting falling apart bit by bit, and servicing it is a nightmare due to all the worn out parts and the fact that almost all have their dials hot-glued to the movement with broken feet.
>>54583302
Marathon general purpose quartz
>>54583186
Good. Get it.
I got one of these in blue for free since its LCD has faded (been standing in a shop window in direct sunlight for years). I think I'm going to try and replace the polarizing filter, but while I'm at it should I make it a negative?
I'm not even going to wear it (it's ugly imo), I just want to do a simple repair project.
>>54583305
I love my HMT. It has none of the problems you speak of.
Sadly it's the watch that I have that is more difficult to properly regulate.
>>54583223
I dare you to top this.
It's fake Casio I got for free.
They go for about 2 bucks on ebay without the Casio logo. I weights pretty much nothing, the backlight is gay as fuck and it can easily gain 5 min in a week.
I think I'll just give it away to some hobo.
>>54583378
How long have you had them. Mine have been running for half a year now, and most have broken feet/glued dial, indices falling off from shitty gluing, fatigued springs in the keyless work breaking and such.
>>54583473
More or less the same time as yours.
Mine has a vintage dial with the feet intact, vintage case and a NOS movement with a glass who knows how old.
>>54583223
I wouldn't say it's my worst watch, but the reason i hated it is plain easy to spot.
Though it's now the issue of some dude from Singapore, and the shekels went on a SRP307 instead.

It's true. I do.
>>54583897
For a casual watch you'd get a Casio, not a piece of shit like that.
>>54582585
What he means by saying both "+60s/d" and "junk" is that it is currently running +60s a day, but he provides no warranty whatsoever that it will work once you buy it.
Basically, they virtually all list vintage watches in "as is" condition and will not accept returns or exchanges on them.
That's the gamble you take with Y! JP, but so far none of the watches I bought from there that were listed as running needed any parts. Plus, you can get non running parts spares for pretty cheap there if necessary for a parts donor.
>>54584743

This Accurist my parents got me for Christmas years ago. Reasons for hate.
1. It's a shitty 'chrono' with centre running seconds hand so the outer tachygraph is pointless.
2. It doesn't even say tachygraph, is says chronograph on the bezel.
3. I didn't realise it has a retarded 23mm lug width so the 22mm rally strap I bought has gaps.
4. It's trying to be a Grand Carrera homage and failing.
5. It has some cheap ass Miyota JS24 quartz movement.

I mean it tries to look to a casual observer like a tachymeter in it's feeble attempt to emulate the Grand Carrera.
>>54585629
3 paycheks at what you fuck. We're not mind reader's.
>>54585705
The Grand Carrera looks like every other TAG Huehue watch. DOGSHIT
>>54584743
>soki
Please don't tell me you leave the house with that on.
>>54585756
>>54581372
CUTE
>>54585644
And you would still have been wrong even if you had typed the word correctly, since that steaming piece of dogshit doesn't even have a tachymeter bezel.
>>54585841
She flips when i put a non slav watch on her.
How much would a watchmaker charge for reseating hands?
Just noticed the hour hand on my watch is slightly off mark, and it's really annoying me since I noticed it.
>>54584743
IS THAT A REEEEEEEEEEL ROLEX?
>>54585786
Do you want me to? I'll go take a series of photographs just for you.
>>54575816
if you could get your money back on all the watches you bought, what watch would you buy?
>>54583191
you changed the hour hand for the borealis?
Why are Casios so fucking big? 51mm, ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? I am not a rapper.
>>54583191
Why do you have a pilot style strap on a diver? Is it irony?
>>54583675
No, why?
>>54585956
Implying I could get
>40 € for the Elektronika
>50 € for the Raketa
>250 € for the SARB
>20 € for the SNK809
>15 € for the Casio ana-digi
>100 € for the Citizen
>100 € for the modded Amphibia
> 200 € for the Tissot T-Touch
All being a bit optimistic of course.
Let's say I'd have 775€,
but there's literally anything I would like to buy in the price range from 400-1000€ so I would need to save 600€ to get a brand new Oris Sixty Five diver.
Anyway I prefer to stay a poorfag while I'm a jobless student. It's quite fun to buy and resell inexpensive watches often.
>>54583191
>>54585956
oh wait. nvm
looks like a tudor pelagos homage. lookin' good except for the strap
>>54583321
Second this, marathon are solid
Can quartz watches be noisy? H-how?
What are we going to do about the poorfag buyign guide?
>>54585882
Its the bpm vibrations
>>54585901
*real>>54585901
>>54587089
Yeah, they have potential. They make a noise similar to wall clock, that being said, all of my Quartz watches are very quiet, way quieter than a few of my mechanicals, my raketa is a joke how loud it is
>>54587181
Guide is still fine
>>54587089
yeah the fucking timex weekender is literally louder than a wall clock
>>54585884
A-anyone?
>>54587511
If he's not a jew, $10.
>>54585258
>tachygraph
You dumb fuck
>>54587532
Awesome. Was expecting a little more considering that the thing has to be gutted.
>>54587699
>protip: your watchmaker of choice is probably a major jew and will ask at least $50 for aligning hands
>>54587726
I'll be doing it via a local jeweller, the owner is a friend of the family, so hopefully he won't completely fuck me.
