I saw a fucking anime picture on /pol/ yesterday
I had to slowly disembowel three rats to get through that experience
>>
A porn thread made it to 730 posts on /v/ last night before archiving

It was probably the best thread on /v/ all day

>>
>>374301
See, this is why no one likes /v/ anymore, because the mods don't' delete garbage threads like that
>>
>>374305
At first a mod was deleting the hardcore but leaving the softcore, then they gave up and let it run its course I guess.
>>
>>374285
The real concern here is the lack of responses from Hiro. They have really slowed down since the Paris attacks. He's not posting as much as he used to and he's not doing anything to fix some of the major issues going on, like the malware on the front page of the site.

He also STILL has not addressed boards like /d/, /aco/, /tv/, and /v/. Boards that desperately need to be cleaned up
>>
If you ever wonder 'Where do all these newfags come from?', here's one of the answers.
>>
>>374308
Again more reasons why increased moderation is not going to work on /v/. The mods just don't care about it at all. Drastic measures need to be taken. Whether that means banning mobile posting, Thread ID's, or just splitting /v/ up, something has got to be done. 2014-2015 so far has been the worst years so far on 4chan, and I fear 2016 is only going to be much worse for us
>>
>>374315
>Again more reasons why increased moderation is not going to work on /v/.
They could have just, like, banned everybody not talking about video games.
>>
>>374320
I get banned maybe 1 out of 4 times for participating in porn threads if I post a picture, but I've never been banned for just text posts

either way the moderation is very selective and should either be more lax, or way more strict because half the time I post I'm probably breaking some rule but never get banned, only to have it randomly happen, usually for something minor.

I mean they'd have to ban probably 70% of /v/ or /tv/ if they enforced the no trolling or shitposting rules

It's not. /qa/ isn't /q/, its a board that was made for doing a q&a with moot and was then used the same for Hiro. But it isn't /q/ and nor should it be treated as such. At this point, /qa/ is better off being deleted than staying here if its going to be used as /q/2.0

>It's pretty apparent that 4chan's mods are just huge SJWs desperately trying to make us into another SomethingAwful hugbox.
Ok, so you are either a /v/ermin, /pol/ack or a 8fagger. Good to know. Please don't post in these thread, they are one of the only threads on this board that aren't faggotry or stupid whiny about pointless shit

>It's not. /qa/ isn't /q/, its a board that was made for doing a q&a with moot and was then used the same for Hiro. But it isn't /q/ and nor should it be treated as such.

Except for all the times Hiro has come to the board to treat it as exactly that.

>At this point, /qa/ is better off being deleted than staying here if its going to be used as /q/2.0

Yes, because there's nothing worse than 4chan's administration and the users being separated by the same wall of silence moot threw up, right?

The reason moot deleted /q/ was because he couldn't stand the idea of users being able to voice any kind of criticism against him. It's why he stayed completely silent for all those years and let the site collapse around him until he sold the whole damn thing.

>Ok, so you are either a /v/ermin, /pol/ack or a 8fagger.

Because everyone who disagrees with you MUST be your boogeyman, right? Why don't you throw out a couple more buzzwords huh cuçkstain?

. Please don't post in these thread, they are one of the only threads on this board that aren't faggotry or stupid whiny about pointless shit

Actually it's full of whiny niggers like you. Look at how much spam this whole board gets of "BAAAAAW DELETE /qa/ PEOPLE ARE SAYING MEAN THINGS ABOUT 4CHAN."

Look, I know you're either a buttblasted mod trying to do damage control or a sad bootlicker, but you could at least argue what you actually think instead of coming up with ridiculous lies
>>
>>375037
>Except /qa/ exists for user feedback.
Where does it say that? Mods don't come here and answer questions like they did on /q/ and every complaint thread here has basically been ignored.
Only thing that might have come out of /qa/ is /his/ but the feedback form could possibly have had a larger effect in that.

>It's pretty apparent that 4chan's mods are just huge SJWs desperately trying to make us into another SomethingAwful hugbox.

You mean in the first month because it was the first board he actually really posted on for the Q&As? Since then he has moved on and actually solves problems on the users boards not on /qa/ as seen with /sp/, /lit/, /his/, /trash/ and /a/.

>Yes, because there's nothing worse than 4chan's administration and the users being separated by the same wall of silence moot threw up, right?
Mods don't answer here anyways so what is exactly the point other than having a board full of people circlejerking to how mods are shit?
Rather the board was closed and opened again like once a month for hiro to come in and chat with people here. Be a far more constructive way to use this board than it is now.

I have no intentions continuing after this post, but, Hiro coming here is a bad idea. Even within the large numbers of people who post, only a pretty small minority are going to post on a meta board. Within that small minority, there is very few that actually give a shit about the site as a whole and the majority care more about making their small little niche area more enjoyable for themselves, even if it requires destroying the rest of the site. Just as many come here to troll and attempt to actually break the site. Hiro should of never came here after his q&a, because the opinion of the users on this board mean literally nothing and are the worse, even worse than fucking /v/ or /b/, to listen to
>>
>>375116

Exactly. This is what we've been needing for years now. It would solve so many problems, but then again you have to be careful because certain boards like /tv/ and /v/ will shitpost it up
>>

He could team up with a mod to watch the thread and clean up as many unnecessary posts as possible. I'm talking like a board a day or two (doesn't even need to be back to back)- one thread, maybe more if Hiro wants to quit for the night and resume the next day.

This is normal. /tg/ has always alternated between no moderation and controversially thorough (and, often, subjective) moderation.
>>
>>375712
thoseis inarguably better the less moderation it receives because fuck those anal retentive cunts that mod it.

For those who don't use it, /tg/ is the Traditional Games board, which includes D&D, Warhammer, etc. D&D and the like are games that require the players to do a lot of writing and setting building. By virtue of having such a broad topic, it is considered a "filter board."

General Fantasy and Sci-Fi related questions and musings are on topic (like the famous "how does a centaur wipe its ass" or "what of a necromancer made a computer out of skeletons",) it was the home of /his/ for years (due to historical settings and how cultural development is reflected in fantasy settings,) was the home to Star Trek/Star Wars threads (due to their respective TTRPGs,) and has a regular sci-fi novel writing thread.

Now, the issue with the "nazimod" you might have heard about was that they took a very strict definition of what was and wasn't /tg/. Basically, if it wasn't in a sourcebook (or sometimes if it was and just wasn't being discussed "right") then it was hit with a ban.

What they failed to understand is that half the fun of those games is in the world and story building, and sharing those ideas with other people. The "nazimod" fiasco showed that 4chan's mods didn't understand the the thing they were trying to arbitrate, and if history shows, they don't really seem to understand a lot that isn't anime.

Plus, ever since moot moved Quest threads off of /a/ to /tg/, /tg/ has been slowly dying under their weight. Wish I could find the chart, but someone on /tg/ went through and calculated /tg/'s total posts, and found that each year there are 25% fewer non-Quest threads, and 25% more Quests on /tg/.

The board is pretty much New /x/, and desperately needs to be revitalized with a ruleset that better reflects the state of the board and mods that don't actively despise it.

It's quite possible the nazimod was the very mod who vouched for the created of the board.

That said, /tg/ does need a split. It's not just quests - there's practically two userbases, one that cares about the topic and one that cares about what can you do with it (which is almost always waifus) - the latter are the guys who do quests and have been present since ruby quest.

We need a forum games board to move that populace somewhere else.

Not sure it is possible as people are just shouting over each other really. People think if they post more threads then it looks like the problem is bigger when all it does is make it look like they are being a vocal minority.
>>
>>376901
Yeah, that's why I was thinking that a proper list of issues could be made. People are fighting to get attention for their problems and praying they can find an ear.

If we can actually organize things we might be able to handle things in a civil manner.
>>
>>376905
>I was thinking that a proper list of issues could be made
Well the feedback form is technically meant to do that. But it currently is useless.
So I guess a list could be useful, just at the same time I don't think it would stop people spamming threads.
>>
>>376909
It is done: >>376920

It won't do anything about multiple threads, but maybe it'll help get some actual discourse going. Most people have pretty legitimate complaints, though they sometimes have bad solutions for fixing them.

The final battle between Undertale and Melee is finally over, and /v/ is about to implode on chaos and shitposting due to both sides being fucking cancer and helping any of them also making you cancer

For those who don't know, Gamefaqs had this "best game ever made" contest where its users could vote for what they considered the best game ever made, Undertale (already infamous on /v/ for multiple reasons) was winning nonstop and defeated many legit good games like Super Mario World, all because its fans started rigging the polls and "spreading the word" on social media so their favorite game could win

/v/ started having threads about this, where some people where either pro or against the idea of a fotm winning the poll, while some complained about OP being a shitposter/advertiser and gamefaqs polls not meaning shit because the community is cancer anyway, shit escalated and now there was a battle between undertale and smash bros melee, two games know for having really, really cancerous fandoms

here is one of the many threads they had

No, that's wrong. Poll raiding is only fun when its to piss off a large number of people, is some sort of poll with importance or is something like Time's person of the year shit

In this case, Undertale should beat Meele and then Undertale should lose in the final round to ensure maximum butthurt form two different groups

Hello, here to shed light on this lie.

The number of frogposting manchildren continue to diminish thanks to the combined forced of our glorious Robot overlord scaring off the frogposters who do not have enough braincells to write original comments, the ever watchful eyes of the very competent mods taking care of the straggler frogposters who try to bloxpost their way around their lack of basic intelligence, and finally the sudden hordes of trip users who are accidentally starting to set a new standard for behavior on /r9k/.

NA night time is still too cancerous to be consider "improved", but EU noon time has been very comfy for a while now.

With some hope, /r9k/ will return to a more habitable board in the foreseeable future.

>>
>>379123
Basically this: >>379124
It was made to test out the robot of the guy who made it on a large imageboard. At some point, moot decided to start clearing the robot's database for whatever reason, then a bunch of feelposters who thought they were too good for /b/ decided to move in, think of the userbase of /b/ a few years ago.

Other than the robot, /r9k/ is simply a /b/ with global rules in effect along with an enforced no /adv/ or /soc/ content.

>>
>>379855
>Are they really whining just because there's dickgirls on /d/ickgirl?
What? The complaint is that there are dickgirls on a board other than /d/
>>
>>379855
From what I gather, /d/ is upset because the board got slower, and /aco/ is pissed because /d/ fags moved there to post gross stuff related to western art. They want /d/ to allow western art.
>>
>>379855
>>379864
>>379860
On /d/, you had lots of niche fetish threads that used western and eastern art equally, because many fetishes are super specific and don't have a lot of art in general.

Western art was always permitted, even though the mods occasionally went nuts and deleted it. Eventually they added a rule against it, and people got mad (because no one wanted that rule except them) and kept posting it, so the mods stopped enforcing it.

It's been that way for at least 6 years now, and everything has been chill.

When /aco/ was made the mods started violently purging everything western, and a lot of things that weren't. This included Japanese art of what their bans called "western fetishes."

Now /d/ has an influx of trolls trying to get everything banned on a technicality for being not Japanese enough. Mods are also deleting things like writing threads, or fetishes they just don't like. /d/ is now much slower because most users have been chased off, and content has been limited.

At the same time, /aco/ covers a lot of content, since its everything that isn't Japanese. Niche fetish threads get lost in the shuffle there, and big ones get shitposted by more vanilla people.

Basically it's a huge disaster caused by mods trying to enforce something they want and the community never did.

And the dickgirl thing is that futa gets spammed in half the threads on /d/. The catalog is full of futa threads that get one post every week or so, and has incredibly specific subjects like "futa not doing anything" and "politically incorrect futa," just to keep the catalog full.

Many threads specify that they don't want futa posted in their thread, and most end up getting spammed with futa. /d/'s reputation as a futa board is something that's only existed for a few years, as older users were chased off by spam.

/d/ is no more for dickgirls than /v/ is for Fallout or /tv/ is for Star Wars. It's on topic, but its something that gets spammed a lot. People are asking for a separate futa board to separate the two mutually exclusive sets of posters.

/d/ is a board that gets ignored a lot because it's a porn board, and it's caused a lot of problems that need to be remedied.
