A tiny skinny Indian lookin' dude (I had never met an Arab) comes in and brings up one bag of Doritos to the register.

Thinking he is foreign, I assume he is not accustomed to being taxed and I calmly explain to him the difference between produce and processed taxable foods.

Confused by his anger, the line behind him builds longer. I'm getting frustrated now and I lose a bit of composure.
"Look Man! I don't know where you come from but here in America we pay taxes. Pay the tax or leave!"
He throws the bag at me and walks out. People in line chuckle and laugh. We're all like 18 years old. It was kind of funny.
We close at midnight and I lock up the door from the outside closing down the store. As I turn around, I see him again walking very fast towards me. At first I had forgotten about what happened. But as he drew closer I remember our interaction. I extend a hand for a friendly shake to desculate the situation...
He punches me right in the jaw and screams...
"IN MY COUNTRY YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN KILLED FOR TALKING TO ME LIKE THAT!"
As I was falling over I half assedly stuck my arm out and smacked him in the jaw on my way down. My hand hurt from the contact. At this point my ride home as arrived and come to my aid. He backs off and walks back home into the night.
Next day I tell my boss what happened. We watch the security tape. Yup. He punched me and I punched him. My boss says to call the police next time he comes to the store. He is also banned.
Not even two hours later this dude...

Not even two hours later this dude comes back to get some food. Before he can fill his basket I approach him and tell him he needs to leave, but that I will not call the cops. I'm cool. No need. Just never come back. He seems real sad about this. Like I can see this look of heart broke when I tell him he can no longer shop here.
He then asks me how my jaw is. I say it's sore. I then ask him about his jaw...
"You never hit me"
"What? I have on tape that I hit you"
"No. You did not hit me. I am fine"
He starts to to walk away. Head down. Saddened he can no longer spend his shekels in my store. I am so pissed off. What do you mean I didn't hit you????
It's been almost 20 years and I'm still angry at that. Not angry that he hit me. Angry that he couldn't admit I got one punch in too.
