I keep hearing that ISIS finances its activities via selling oil. Two questons about that.
1- Who the fuck is buying oil from the Islamic State?
2-. Why not just blow the oil wells to hell?
>>55915874
1. The entire world.
>>55915874
One day we will need those wells.. You don't destroy shit you pretty invested in.
>>55915874
>1- Who the fuck is buying oil from the Islamic State?
us...?
>>55915939
Call me naive, but I don't think the world buys from one huge commodity market "pool" right? That's how we can embargo oil from Iran.
>>55916023
How much does an oil well cost when you consider the cost of waging war?
>>55915874
1. everyone
2. beause it's oil and thus, more precious than hundreds of human lives
>>55915874
>Who the fuck is buying oil from the Islamic State?
Good point.
>>55915874
1. Primarely Turkey
2. Why has the Opium cultivation increased in Afganistan since 2001
>>55915874
I'll give you a hint, it would take the kind of jackass that looks at the shooting of a robber who died when he tried to beat up a cop and then decides an injustice has been done.
>>55915874
1. Turks, Assad, anyone whose life sucks enough to live in IS territory
2. Only revenue source, if the fighting ever stops its the only way the people left are going to rebuild
>>55916397
Can we stick with one issue at a time, please?
>>55915874
>1.
Turkey. There was a joyrnalist, who was trying to invistigate this shit and she end up dead.
More likely FSA, maybe other's as well
2. Asad and ruskies wont blow them up because they want to reclaim them (i guess). Why US does not bom them - i dunno.
>>55915874
1) Turkey
2) That would be a war crime worse than what ISIS do.
>>55915874
not buying ISIS oil for Turkey means more reliance over Iran, the primary regional rival of Turkey
ofc we will never admit it
>>55916192
We give them a few dozen aks and trucks we get very pretty much free oil
>>55915874
Gulf states who are financing the opposition.
>>55916474
>Assad buying oil from ISIS
>>55915874
what an awful image...
>>55916543
Putin said there are 40 countries buying their oil, among them several members of G20.
>>55915874
1. Everyone
2. That's exactly what trump said for a long time

In other words, "moderate terrorists" that US supports, Turkey and locals.
>>55915874
>1- Who the fuck is buying oil from the Islamic State?
Last I saw, a lot of it was being smuggled into Turkey, but I don't know where it went after that.
>2-. Why not just blow the oil wells to hell?
The spice must flow. Oil is the keystone commodity of the global economy. Nobody gives a shit how much blood was spilled over it.
>>55916474
>Assad
>buying IS oil
Kill yourself, John McCain.

I pretty sure they did recently?
Here, listen to what Putin has to say about it

OP you really don't seem to understand how vital oil actually is.
It is the only thing that keeps the Middle-East from being as easily ignored and discarded as Africa or South America.
The West's biggest problem is that the oil thing didn't come about until AFTER it was decided that colonialism and manifest destiny was wrong. So instead of just taking the oil we promoted a bunch of dirt farmers into god-barons that control the planet through the manipulation of the condensed plant matter under their sand.
>everyone
>shits valuable bro
because the oil is what keeps them in syria, if you bomb them or in other ways take away their income, they will focus on targeting western countries with attacks or simply spread to neighbouring countries
>>55916824
They are in NATO, so they could do whatever they want until USA okay with it.
>>55916953
Try harder Obongo. There are proofs of the US army helping IS transport oil over hundred of kilometers. But 'muh Assad'. Kill yourself.
>>55915874
1. Israel
2. Israel
>>55916824
we are not doing it without US' consent
>>55915874
putin addressed both these issues.
he noted that american allies are buying the oil.
also, he basically said US was funding ISIS.
yet obama is still in office
1) Turkey, assad is also buying from them for energy
2) we started bombing the oil
>>55916824
>Why isn't there any outrage about this?
Because NATO. Plus most people in the US are more concerned with how big Kim Kardashian's ass is and who is playing on Monday night than they are with geopolitics.
>>55917142
This. This is the most disgusting and infuriating, the US and my own government pretending they're actively fighting against IS when they actually support them.
>>55916993
Sure, I know how vital it is, but the Islamic State is still selling it, while we're boycotting Iranian oil, then there has to be something else going on.
Also, its estimated that that IS brings in bout 1 million USD per day via oil sales. That's a relative drop in the world oil markets. It's negligible enough to be ignored if you're trying to starve your enemy to death.
>>55916824
I don't know, why isn't there any outrage about ISIS recruits freely going though Turkey into Syria? Why isn't there any outrage about Turkey deliberately shipping refugees in Europe? Why isn't there any outrage about Turkey bombing Syrian Kurds who actually fight and win against ISIS in the north? Why isn't there any outrage about Turkey's army doing nothing about ISIS who literally stand there over their border? Why isn't there any outrage about Turkey preventing Kurds from closing the border to cut the ISIS supply line?
I'm sure US is powerless that they have no way to influence their ally and NATO member.
>>55916143
The primary oil supplier to the US is Canada, followed by domestic then south america. Very little comes from the mid east.
>>55915874
News flash: America has attacked the oil wells multiple times. You're just listening to Trump being stumped.
>>55917302
Turkey has been the cancer that tried to kill Europe for centuries. It's time we do something about these fucking kebabs.

Saudi Arabia

But then the anglos will come and ruin all the dun, as ususal.
>>55917321
Yet, sweet light crude is a fungible commodity. Knock some of the supply out in one part of the globe, and other countries are going to try to muscle in on our supply.

>1- Who the fuck is buying oil from the Islamic State?
People who use a lot more oil than they produce themselves. Top candidates are China and Turkey.
2-. Why not just blow the oil wells to hell?
Because liberals. We've been over this.
>>55915874
WHO THE FUCK DOES THIS TO CHILDREN
Fuck, Sweden, SJWs, leftists, or even BLM can't rustle my jimmies, but that made me literally angry.
Just fucking look at this poor child, it doesn't even know what the fuck is going on, it doesn't know that it's one fingerslip from death.
I-I hope it's safe now.

Turkey is taking the oil and laundering the cash. Why do you think there was such an issue with the turks just sitting their asses off and watching on from the border while the kurds got gunned down in? They were waiting for them to lose, but they got a foothold. Afterwards, they decided to "go in" and secure the border and establish a zone. They were creating a clear path for the turks to import fighters to isis and export oil back from them.

I know what you're saying, but you should remember you're talking to retards who'd vote for Bernie Sanders in the general if given a chance.
It's important to point out to them that Oxygen is more valuable than water, which in turn is more valuable than food.
However, economic value (as measured by utility in trade) results from a little something called scarcity. Making food more valuable than water and water more valuable than oxygen.

Because bombing the wells would just result in massive environmental damage and the smoke would actually make it more dangerous to hit harder targets. It was also a huge expense fixing the damn things afterwards.
