Probably radio chatter from four separate channels on four separate speakers.
Honest question /mu/
Does scaruffi even know what he is talking about? Like, when he, for example, made this list, did he use objective standpoints? Is he an experienced musician or something?
My favourite part is how he tells you to skip #1 when #3 is even more inaccessible.
>>66407883
Faust is definitely not as inaccessible as Trout Mask Replica by a long shot
>>66407883
he says go to 2 and 6 first
which is still dumb because it implies the doors isn't the most accessible album on the list
Anyone care to tell me why this band is actually good? All the songs I heard from them are fucking boring, no emotion, no passion, no fucking nothing
You haven't listened to Echoes
Oh, so you've only listened to the Wall?
They're basically REO Speedwagon, Journey, and Boston but with the occasional 9 minute song. Nothing to get too worked up about.
Been getting more and more into hip hop recently but my knowledge is still very limited.
Stuff I like:
>pic related
>Death Grips cause I'm a memey fuck
>I also like some Clipping.
>Trip hop like Massive Attack and Tricky
>Run The Jewels are sick.
>Madvillainy is very good but not 100% my thing.
>I like a bit of Kanye so I'm gonna check out...

If you don't like 90's gangster rap why the fuck do you want to "get into hip hop"?
>>66407716
"If you don't like nu metal why the fuck do you want to get into metal?"
because I like all the stuff I listed above and want to hear more good stuff.
Great fucking album op. You can stop there if you want.

Hey /mu/
I just bought a turn table and I am going to start buying vinyl records. I was wondering if there are any particular genres, artists, labels etc that sound better or worse on vinyl.
Anyone?
>>66407354
Everything will sound worse on vinyl compared to digital
>>66407354
genres that sound good on vinyl:
>genres you like
genres that sound bad on vinyl:
>genres you dont like
the only things that will sound bad on vinyl are bad pressings or music engineered to inherently sound like garbage
ITT: Artists you want to cuddle with
>she will never whisper the lyrics to Iris's Song For Us softly into your ear while stroking your cheek as you fall asleep in her arms
Isaac.
Thoughts on this album?
Catchy as fuck
>>66407128
Its better when you are lying around in the nude.
AYYYYYYYEEEE AYYYYYYYYYYEEE AYYYYYYEEEEE
let´s turn dopesmoker into a meme
i mean like in the aeroplane over the sea kind of meme were it´s spammed non stop.
>>66407119
It already is. it's the go-to answer to all those threads that ask things like:
-post albums with only one great song
-post albums with a song so much better than the others you don't even have to say it
-post albums with a God-tier opener and closer
because we all love having great albums slightly ruined by dicks who think spamming on 4chan is the height of humour
Do you guys know of any artists/groups with a baritone or bass-ranged lead vocals? All these guys singing tenor and even soprano-range parts upset me and no one I've asked knows anyone outside of Type O, Johnny Cash, and select pieces of Opera.
Pic unrelated
Beat Happening

Morphine
>>66407086
The Magnetic Fields
Leonard Cohen
Also seconding Beat Happening because they're very good.
Can we discuss this album? When I first listened to it I didn't give it much though, I always assumed Pet Sounds was the superior album and this was just an unfinished mishmash of different sounds. However, in the past three days I must have listened to it twenty times and every time I'm blown away. I've never heard a more cohesive album. Brian's vision really came through and it's absolutely beautiful. I think it surpasses Pet Sounds in almost every way. Thoughts?
It's absolutely perfect and probably the greatest "unfinished" album ever recorded. I can only imagine what would've happened had it been released.
we talk about smile all the fucking time
it's fucking great and we all know that
enough
Can we talk about how this was better than all of them?
How to get into Grateful Dead?

Listen to it. If you like it you are into it, if you don't you are not
listen to their music
