What's your favourite prog rock band? I love Gentle Giants.
The Power And The Glory is so fucking based all the way through
>>52668938
the mars volta is my fav. I don't really care for gentle giant
I recently transcended the human plane of existence to become a being of pure autism. I no longer identify with the17 emotions expressed by humans, and therefore no longer enjoy human music.
Can you recommend some music that sounds like it wasn't made by a person?
put your ear up to an air vent
(i'm actually not shitting it's calming as fuck)

your moms filthy pussy
my innervoice calling me a loser and wishing death
>>52652246
Nothing because I'm not a degenerate. I listen to the moans of the whore I'm watching getting fucked or touching herself.
How did you become a music person? Did you just stumble upon good shit, did you have a cool older sibling who owned good music and gave you their shirts to wear, did you just know that cool indie metal hippy kid at your highschool/college, do you work with indie jesus, what happened to you?
pic not really related
had a cool teacher in high school that would end the last friday lessons by playing us random music
>>52664743
i started skateboarding, then watched skate videos and playing THPS2 on playstation with my cousin.
Thats where i got interested in music. I always sucked at skating, but now im working in music.
My friends older brothers showed us alot of rap too.
I guess I was always sensible to music. As a Child it was always my favorite part of the movies and cartoons.
I really got into full nerd mode when I hit 12 and Discover punk rock and pop-punk and started playing instruments.
then got more and more curious throughout my teens, listening to metal, then extreme metal, then more proggy stuff wich lead me to listen to more relax ''indie'' stuff.
now im all over the place, im a real music-nerd I like so much different styles now.
what's up /mu/, i'm going on a long ass plane trip in like a week's time and am currently stocking up on some music for the trip. recommend me things you're enjoying at the moment, i'll listen to everything you send me. i'm into just about everything, but have gotten back into break-beat and electronic downtempo recently, pic related
>>52666615

agreed anon, this album is insane
Old, but i'm enjoying ATM
Where do you draw the line between "music" and just sounds/noise?
I align with John Cage's notion that pretty much everything is music.
>>52667443
Art is made by people so any sounds people make for the entertainment of other people can be music
Field recordings of owls are not music

Just got some new fantastic headphones. I've never had a good pair, and have always listened to music either in the car or with shitty earbuds from target.
Anyway, I just listen to pic related with these new headphones, and the difference between listening to it on old headphones and these new ones is MASSIVE. A whole new love for this album.
What are more albums where they sound significantly better with great headphones than with shitty ones?
>inb4 "all music"
For example, Funeral by arcade fire obviously...
Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>52666285
another example, this album went from good but noisy to being incredibly layered and intersting
>>52666285
What headphones OP?
The Madcap Laughs by Syd Barrett
Should be pretty warm and the music is simple and uncluttered so you can really focus on the guitar and voice. Make sure you don't listen to shit quality audio files. That goes for anything now. V0s or 320s if not flacs. Enjoy!
Cartoons and albums thread?

Sharing sounds/influences doesn't mean the presentation is equal.
>>52655623
It proves, at the very least, that DG isn't as original or groundbreaking as people make them out to be.
>obsessed with my demo tape collection
>>52659144
It's true, so many DG fans are obsessive.
>>52659144
