So I was just reading an article on some news site that mentioned somebody had created user48736353001.com with all his tracks and that it looked pretty neat. So i checked it out, and was curious whether it was just a fan page or whether he'd actually created it. I checked the whois site data that said it was registered on 28/01(a day after the soundcloud account started uploading) and that it was registered to Jon-Kyle Mohr. A google search on his name picked up a lot of results most notably:
A couple of articles on his web design and music production work.
His website jon-kyle.com that lists the web projects he's worked on, which doesnt include this new website.
A soundcloud account with some pretty decent experimental ambient music.
And most fucking notably, THIS page http://www.allthepeople.net/jon-kyle-mohr that associates his name with the keyword Warp Records.
What do you guys think, am I just grasping at straws and RDJ's really fucked up my head, or could there be more? I just think that allthepeople page associating jon kyle and warp records is just way too big of a coincidence. I'll keep digging for a while and update if I find anything else.

Just getting into it. So far I listened to
>Pat Matthews Band - American Garage & New Chautauqua
>Pharaoh Sanders - Elevation & Karma
>Marc Johnson - Bass Desires
The Pat Matthews Band sound is too similar to elevator music and rarely does something happen. The chaotic wall of sound parts in Pharaoh Sanders' music I greatly enjoyed and Bass Desires was a varied and interesting listen that I have come back to quite often already.

I don't know Pat Matthews, and only know Marc Johnson through his sideman work. however, if you like Sanders' work I would reccommend you to tryother free saxophonists, such as late Coltrane, Mats Gustafsson, Joe McPhee or Charles Gayle

Middle Eastern and Asian folk metal with symphonies added.

Though I've only found three bands that do some of those, and two that do all of them well.

Really funny how mad people in the comments are. He really shits on the Boiler Room stereotypes

Experimental jazz comeback? Anyone else think this shit is completely amazing? Odd thing is that RYM freaking loves this band: look at jazz charts 2013/2014, they're that site's most adored jazz band right now. But they have no buzz anywhere else: no US tours, no p4k reviews, not even a Downbeat Magazine review. At least my lame website gave it enough attention for me to become a fan

So a local record store where i live just said they're getting in a new Godspeed You! Black Emperor album in on the 31st of March named 'Asunder, Sweet & Other Distress'... Somebody asked about it in the comments, and they say that it's a surprise release from the band... Does anyone know anything about this?

ttng sucks, Am appy football isnt math rock

Any band that identifies as math rock is normally shitty, Thers a million generic bandcamp "math" bands that all sound the same. Listen to Don Cab, Tera Melos, Hella and just stop after that.

Lets talk MP3-players.

My old iPod Classic is starting to fail me. Now that it is out of production, which new MP3-player with 120gb+ is a good option to buy?

get another 120 HDD and continue using the same ipod
>>
>>53841046
The battery is the problem.
>>
You could use a Rockboxed Sansa Clip+ with two 64 gig SD cards. No album art view though and it doesn't have the Classic's neverending battery.
