What do you think of Jaden Smith? Beside him being the son of Will Smith, he's actually pushing for a rapping career. Whether it's on own strength or not is debatable, but it's actually pretty decent. The kid's 16.
Latest album recently dropped and is free4stream:

I will never forgive that faggot for ruining Karate Kid.

That first song is chill as fuck. Fully feeling this. He could honestly be really good when he gets older.
>>53916513
Yeah being a rapper is easy when everything is ghostwritten and you have rich family and friends to promote you. Honestly I hate the kid, and everything he stands for.
You have 10 seconds to name a good buff musician.
(Protip: You can't, because every hour a guy spends lifting weights is an hour he doesn't spend practicing his instrument.)
Jonh Pretucii of Dream Theater is a heck of player even if his compositions are only technically complex
ITT: We post pictures and say what genre the album would be
britpop because its a blurry photo
>melancholy folk about suicide
shoegaze because its a blurry photo

I don't think about Nine Inch nails, in fact it never even crossed my mind that they still existed until you made this thread
Trent looks like Pete Townshend's long-lost son.
Do you foreigners like grime?
No I don't know why kanye likes that crap
>>53891429
Loads of US rappers fucks with it, that's why I thought more of you guys would
i understand that Kanye and Drake have shone a spotlight on grime recently but i still don't get why it's being discussed so much suddenly
Danny Brown and all of his followers have been sucking his own dick about him shouting out grime in 2009 like he was some kind of prophet
didn't everyone know about grime way back in 2003 when Boy In Da Corner dropped?
hasn't grime basically been dead for like 5+ years?
No Britcucks edition

>The beat reigns unchallenged in the industrial bacchanals of Fleure and Prac-f, in the relentless cyborg assault of Spl9. More calmly, VekoS also presupposed an aesthetic that is purely about rhythm, or, better, anti-rhythm. The program stretches all the way to the jovial pseudo-calypso of T ess xi and the acrobatic tapping of Flep, far away from the glacial mood that is more typical of Autechre. Then, again, existential melancholy emanates from the laconic 1 1 is and the way it drifts towards extinction; and plain neurosis propels, or, better, deters, the progression of the nine-minute Nodezsh, a repetitive piece that in theory should be hypnotic but ends up being more horrific than hypnotic. The chopped, irregular beats are also used to craft the harrowing soundscape of Runrepik and the abstract dissonant chamber music of the ten-minute Cloudline. This album almost undoes the "melodic" current that swept through Oversteps. In fact, it stands as its ideological counterpart. Deco Loc, the user-friendly track that mixes cut-up vocal samples with hip-hop beats, feels out of context. So does the eight-minute Yjy Ux, which could be an upbeat remix of a minimalist concerto by Terry Riley until it decays into a ghastly fever of drones and scrapes, and it keeps decomposing until very little is left of the beat amid whirring echoes.
>On the downside, the ten-minute Irlite is typical of the confusion that keeps Autechre from making coherent statements: too much happens and too little remains. The twelve-minute Bladelores is swept by a quasi-melodic breeze but, again, it doesn't seem to know what to do next, and the beat is surprisingly trivial by their standards. The nine-minute Recks On repeats a banal leitmotiv for a while and then, again, doesn't quite know how to handle it. No matter the redundancy and the sloppiness of the lengthier compositions, the sheer quantity of ventures and probes is enough to create a semiotic jungle for generations of aspiring PhD students.
