Okay /mu/tants let's have a discussion
What format is the best for loveless?
Ive heard that the Vinyl pressings are fucked in some way?
TL;DR which pressing/version should you buy and why
Loveless is a bad album sorry.

96kbps wma files on my zune with the headphones that always don't work in one ear but I never buy new ones because I dont have a job
This song is lazily written dribble and the music video is a cringey retarded mess.
What the fuck Bowie.
The song has grown on me, the tune got stuck in my head and I enjoyed it a lot more on the second listen.
The video was pretty edgy but I don't really care about music videos so if it is high production and enjoying to look at it like this one is, awesome.
>>60660865
I would probably have enjoyed it a little more if I wasn't watching the video too on first listen. That video is just so awful though it really ruined the music.
>>60660865
The video reminds me of old Marilyn Manson videos
>This is Crystal Castles now
So nothing's changed?
>you will never be Alice Glass' producer and travel with her around the world
>every time she runs out of coke money she comes knocking on your door to loan her some in exchange for sex
>>60660559
I know CC was Ethan's project even before Alice joined, but continuing under the Crystal Castles name after Alice left is a really stupid decision
>>60660576
>you will never touch Alice Glass as she crowd surfs while singing Alice Practice
Music for meditation. Preferably like pic (The Future Sound of London - Lifeforms)
>music for meditating
that isn't meditating. it's a glorified listening session.
just drop the need to always be multitasking like an A.D.D kid and turn the fucking music off.
>meditating with music
lmao, are you even a wizard, friend?
>>60660399
ok, let's use the word relaxation then.
slash fuck dream catalogue edition
>>60660313
I think Vaporwave is talentless and bland.
Got any recs to make me change my opinion?
>>60660313
stop posting your shitty album
Is there an artist from last 5-10 years whose breakthrough album isn't their debut album?
Pic related. Michael Jackson's first albums were just a shitty continuation of The Jackson 5 without the other 4, and he didn't get his defining sound until Off the Wall. There seem to be plenty examples of this throughout the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s but very few examples in the 2000s and 2010s where everyone is earning their hype right off the bat.
>>60660300
>Michael Jackson's first albums were just a shitty continuation
Got to Be There and Ben are classic soul/r&b albums.
>>60660300
>he didn't get his defining sound until Off the Wall.
Destiny says hello
>>60660300
sia? in terms of fame anyway. arguably her older stuff is a lot better.
also 2chainz.
>>60660300
ariel pink.
animal collective.
ITT: post your curve
>>60660295
I have no idea what site/program you're using.
>>60660325
how was your first day on mu?
I need advice on procuring an upright piano. I know /mu/ is mostly for discussion about the music itself, but would any of you /mu/tants know anything about buying a piano?
If this belongs on a different board feel free to point me in that direction and tell me to fuck off. I wasn't sure where else to post this.
Craigslist
People are usually giving them away for free.
>>60660192
Sorry for the vague OP, I didn't want to type a novel.
By advice, I mean what should I look for, and what to expect in terms of price and condition.
I'm looking for something to just play on when I'm in the mood, not looking for a conversation piece or something to take to a recording studio or concert hall with.
>>60660228
What should I look for, in terms of "this thing is fucked beyond repair"? I'm decent with...
Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.

Usually it should say what the condition is. Most of them are fine. Like I said, people like to give them away, especially churches.
Post your media players/libraries and people judge your taste/personality/whatever you feel like commenting.
So, like, you've been on /mu/ for like a month hey OP
>>60660198
Been about 2 years actually. Despite all the memes being used to death concerning certain records (ITAOTS/Money Store etc.), /mu/ actually helped me discover new music I normally wouldn't have.
>>60660198
so like, you have like Aspergers or like something like hey am i right?
nirvana
alice in chains
nine inch nails
marilyn manson
smashing pumpkins
radiohead
bjork
korn
are all shit, go die in a fire 90s faggots

Name your top five bands
Please
>>60660161
no i told you, you don't deserve them
>>60660175
No I want to see what musical perspective you're coming from
It's for the sake of discussion because this thread is going nowhere fast
Is Smashing Pumpkins any good? I heard their song Bullet with Butterfly wings and another song I REALLY liked, and I'm wondering if I should go grab a few albums.
What does /mu/ think of Smashing Pumpkins?
What are some must have albums?
Siamese Dream is a 10/10 like my ninth favorite album
i want off this ride
Literally my favourite band of all time.
Literally listen to every single LP, B-Side collection and bootleg live recording otherwise you're a disgusting casual.
Get a girlfriend with bleached hair, send her gifts made of ironic lovehearts then have her break up with you and listen to Gish first.
Is there any way/program that can "upscale" mp3 track qualities? I have quite a few files that are 64kbit and they... Suck. Any suggestions?
Pic unrelated
>>60659840
Install gentoo
You have to convert it to a higher bitrate at least 5 times for any real change to happen. Doing it to flac would be even better but some people don't like flac.
music merchendise general.
what's your favourite band shirt, why is redbubble a shit, how cringe are death grips shirts etc etc
i plan on getting this. has anyone bought shit from nightchannels before tell me they won't dick me down?
http://nightchannels.com/merzbow-shirt/
>>60659825
redubble is shit cause after about 3 times through the wash their shirts shrink and get all deformed.
>>60659928
Ive gotten a couple shirts from them. Quality material. Really thick. Too pricey though.
>>60660007
I refuse to buy 100% cotton shirts for this reason. It's gotta be fucking dank as fuck for me to buy a 100% cotton shirt, and even then it won't last more than a few washes so I just don't wash them.
Can someone post good normie music? Music that is good but I can still strike up a conversation about it with someone.
Gorillaz is always a go-to.
>>60659781
what species of normie? drake, jamie xx, and the weeknd are v hot with 20-something urban white normies right now
>>60659908
>music that is good
What was objectively the best year for music?
>1910's
When music started
either 1967 or 1970
itt: people say their birth years
