They were my favourite band and first time I really got into a band/music at 14.
I tried to listen to them recently and it was pretty bland though. Still they have a special place to me.

Fuck you
Yung Lean is noted for referencing the years 2001, 2002 and 2003 in his songs,[32] the reason being because he feels like these were the "most emotional" years.[5]
Based on the fact that he would have been 5-7 during those years, what the fuck happened to him that was so emotional?
9/11
he got diddled by his best friend or something, I don't remember exactly
>>60651091
I'm his age and I totally feel him on this one.
Cause you know when you are a 5-7 years old kid, you are living in the moment and everything you do still feels fresh and new. All of your friends houses have a different feel to them. All the different playgrounds and video games have certain feel to them.
Then you get older and you ain't feeling shit like you used to. Each moment no more has it's own atmosphere. You are lost in your thoughts most of the time and not really. Every moment is still new in as much as it was before but are not seeing it like that. You aren't paying attention to all the beautiful thing around. Every walk back from school to home is now just the same old shit over and over again, none of the nuances that would make it feel fresh pass the threshold, cause you are lost in your thoughts.
So I don't think anything necessarily happened.
It might just be that he still remembers how it was like to be a kid.
some fresh O))) just leaked!

Anybody wanna post their Record Store Day Black Friday pickups? Pic related is mine, first time ever I've gotten all the releases I wanted.
you bought a green day album on vinyl.

How much was the Ween one?
The Black Friday RSD list this year was absolutely miserable. The only thing that seemed alright was that Ween album, but I'm sure it'll get a wide repress soon.

These generals are for underground club/dance music (modern rehashes of old house and techno). Other styles of dance music which may or may not be considered as "dead genres" such as dubstep (not "brostep"), dnb/jungle, UKG, etc are also shitposted but never discussed because the fans of these genres are britbongs and chavaboos. Internet memes like footwork and grime are also allowed.
>I'm new here where do I start?
Anywhere, check out Ishkur's guide to dance music, although it's biased
Simon Reynolds - Energy Flash is a recommended reading for an even more biased history check.
>Where do I get this music?
Legally:
Junodownload
Boomkat
Hardwax

>Are there any essential charts?
No, longplays are not the norm in dance music. Singles and EP's are tools for DJ's and you're a bleepist (the /bleep/ equivalent to rockist) retard if you prefer them and treat the same way you treat an album or a rock music EP. Mixes are the norm here which you can get from Residentadvisor and various other streaming sites, and by visiting the fucking club you fucking clubless virgin.
>Wow this is all very overwhelming how do I know what's what?
You don't.
>Anything else I should know?
Fuck ROAD and vinyls.
I'm sick of all the weeb shit and entry level revivalcore bullshit in these threads. Let's actually talk about music in this thread.
>New Caust album
What do you think of it?
