What the fuck /mu/?
Why do you keep tricking me into listening to garbage memerap?
I fell for it with MBDTF and TPAB, and I fell for it again with this shitty meme album.
Why are all these albums such unchallenging, cringe worthy pop music? Why the fuck do you children consider this a masterpiece?
Fuck you /mu/
>>60663174
>unchallenging
Does music need to be challenging now?
>>60663207
not OP and I like Barter 6, but to be honest yes
ITT: Albums that you admit are objectively good but just sound horrible to you.
>>60663163
do you know what objectivity is cuz i don't think you do
I quite like radiohead, but I think that may be their shittiest album.
>>60663273
Not counting pablo honey, I mean.
Or you delete the songs you don't like because fuck it?
I never added The Epic to my library because I have taste
so idk, pleb
>>60663147
Thanks for playing
>Or you delete the songs you don't like because fuck it?
I refuse to believe anyone does that and it's just a /mu/ meme.
>St. Vincent has both an indie cachet and pop potential. If you think you’re unique because you listen to St. Vincent and you’re only one of a handful of fans — think again. St. Vincent is for everybody.
>St. Vincent is larger than life on stage, but in person, Annie Clark is as down-to-earth as any of your closest friends.

why do we hate him again?

Because normies love him
>>60662986
whats wrong with that
How do you explain to people who listen to wanky crap like steve vai or praise the rhcp bassist that their taste is garbage? I tell them that once they get to a certain level of musicianship, their music becomes more about showmanship and being a douche bag. But as opposed to what? Their music becomes more about showmanship instead of what?

Lol but Steve Vai is good despite his senpai base, everyone goes through that guitar shredder phase, people grow out of it. But Vai is honestly really good, his tracks are produced really well too.
>>60662810
flea is a solid bass player senpai, if they prefer him to john myung it's a good sign
just rec them some great but technically simple music
>>60662838
Whatever. I just fucking hate people who praise being fast and accurate over absolutely everything else. Someone could be high and drunk off their fucking ass and make something I want to listen to 100 times more than steve vai. Just look at noise rock and punk.

Some people are calling it AOTY, which it isn't.
Some people are calling it viral garbage, which it isn't.
It's a pretty decent album that is probably the first look at vaporwave in the long run.
TL;DR- Influential 3/5
Great vaporish ambient album.
listen can we just fucking admit that Lauren is a mediocre singer I mean she's never sung anything difficult at all
like Adele and Britney Spears are both better singers and that's just in popular music
Lauren sings mediocre music in a mediocre fashion
she's even flat in the chorus of The Mother We Share, what a shitty ass song
;)

Marnie Stern
Deloused. It still quite accesible while also being relativelz experimental.
This and Frances are probably their most critically acclaimed albums. Their successive albums are great too but most people will probaby find those two to be the best. Deloused being a 10/10 album throughout, imo.
The song that got me into the Mars Volta was Televators. Other songs that got me hooked were Agadez, Wax Simulacra, Roulette Dares, Goliath.
In fact the Bedlam in Goliath was the first album I got.
Deloused or Frances. They're the only good albums, really.
>>60662734
>forgetting about Tremulant EP, Goliath, Amputechture and even the albums that arent as good as those still have 10/10 songs on them like in absentia, luciforms, teflon.etc.
