It's 1967 in /mu/
The fact that so many books still name the Beatles as "the greatest or most significant or most influential" rock band ever only tells you how far rock music still is from becoming a serious art. Jazz critics have long recognized that the greatest jazz musicians of all times are Duke Ellington and John Coltrane, who were not the most famous or richest or best sellers of their times, let alone of all times. Classical critics rank the highly controversial Beethoven over classical musicians who were highly popular in courts around Europe. Rock critics are still blinded...

>he's still silent after 10 mins
did i fuck up
Faust literally isn't good. You have to listen to like music all day, all the actual good classic acts, so that you get so numb that you have to listen to complete bullshit for 30 minutes for it to actually stimulate you.
Faust literally isn't good. 95% of people will tell you it's shit. The 5% are so overstimulated, that they forget actual good bands like Pink Floyd, Fleetfood Mac, Led Zeppelin because they forgot what actual bands sound like.

Does a better emo-album exist?
>>66465089
yep, quite a few
This is my favorite emo album, and it's pleasantly surprising to see someone else feels the same way. It's sorta midwest emo, but there's no childhood nostalgia or childishness, and the instrumentation is more post-hardcore/punk than twinkly. The songs are powerfully written and the subject matter is miles ahead of most of their contemporaries, tackling topics like isolation and alcoholism. Blair Shehan is an undeniably charismatic frontman and songwriter, and they're a great contemporary of bands like SDRE and Jawbreaker. Definitely one of the best emo albums...

I'm sure that if you were to sample portions of the population who like various types of music, you'd find that there's a difference in intelligence between people who like certain types of music. This should be undeniable proof that some music is well designed and suitable for intelligent people, while other music appeals to less intelligent people, but there's always going to be the people who say that music is subjective. That's simply not true, some music really does appeal to a far less intelligent audience.
>>66464968
Music beeing subjective and a statistical shift in music genres/artists appeal relating to different levels of intelligence (as in recorded through IQ tests) is not exclusive you dumb idiot cunt.
