I didn't like Welcome to the Machine the first few times I listened to it, but now it has really grown on me.

What is a good band to have as your favorite band? I think a "favorite band" must meet certain criteria .
*a decent amount of material, at least two 10/10 albums
*memorable imagery
*infuential to music or at least their own genre
*at least a few songs hit you on a personal level
*interesting stories related to the band
Some possible contenders for me are Radiohead, Can, Grateful Dead, Aphex Twin, and Animal Collective
