Acclaimed albums by a band you love that you just don't get/like
Not my favorite Can album too, I didnt really liked Pitch but Vitamine C and Sing Swan Songs are GOAT
what don't you like or get about ege bamyasi? it's pretty much their easiest/most straightforward album. great record.
anyway I wouldn't say I don't like it, but Children of God by swans has always confused me as to why so many people seem to think it's their best. i think soundtracks, the seer, to be kind, great annihilator, filth, cop, white light and swans are dead are all better.
HEY YOU!!!
op, it's just a fun pop album. Don't expect too much and you'll enjoy it
What is the best piece of music composed by someone over 40? Any genre.
Also, how much does age affects the general quality of music? There seems to be a creative peak from 23 to 33. There are several exceptions, of course. Discuss.
>>64051857
Creative peak is dependent on the age you started making music. The artists who made great albums later in life will often have started late (see: Michael Gira)
one of the best bowie albums blackstar was made when he was 70 i think

Johnny Cash wrote some pretty damn good albums well into his sixties.
Gorguts keeps pumping out groundbreaking albums and tLuc Lemay has to be over fifty.
The best? Probably some white haired old classical composer.
What is the best Miles Davis album and why is it Dark Magus?
It's a heavy masterpiece.
Because there is Agharta
>>64051840
Gee wow, anon, you know about Dark Magus. This is 100%, most certainly not even close to his best album. But wow... I'm like... super impressed that you've heard it.
I'm a producer and I'd like to play my music in a live setting, maybe supporting some other band or something. But I'm not interested in being a dj and playing other peoples music. I just want to play my own. Is it okay if I just show up with a laptop and press play? Is that what other producers do to perform live? I don't have any proper equipment, but when I save up some money, what would you recommend I start with getting? I was thinking I should try to mix the songs live, but all my songs have something like at least 15 tracks. That's an expensive...

producers don't "perform live"
at the least you could get a midi controller with some knobs tied to filter cutoff so you can look like you are doing something
>>64051889
Are you saying that they shouldn't bother? Or that they actually don't do anything apart from press play? There are famous producers that perform live aren't there? What do they do?
Are they related?
related to shit

Hi /mu/ please help me. I was browsing youtube and came across this. It's clearly made for Generation Z, and I really don't get it.

The best part is that the girl they hired does not look like she's having a good time at all and regrets signing up for this shit.
Here's another one entitled "Wifi Wifey" by Nick Bean, if you can stomach it.

I know most of you are gonna glaze over this but I need feedback, it's literally to keep my sanity.
What's the equivalent of the experimental electronic genre in literature? Can a book be experimental?
>>64051224
>can a book be experimental
Finnegans Wake
House of Leaves
A Void
Ulysses
Gargantua & Pantagruel
Moby Dick
The Sound and The Fury
My Life in the Bush of Ghosts
The Trial
All experimental since the novel as an art form has evolved radically since its inception
Ulysses, Naked Lunch, the list could go on...
/lit/ could probably help you out more

Take your pick of modern Poets
Kafka

Post music that sends shivers down your spine due to how atmospheric/moving it is.

It's just a bunch of guys who make weird hip hop, but god damn some of their stuff is really good. Slug Christ is my favourite, I think.
