it is objectively, i'm being completely serious, I read this article about these math/music people who put together all of these statistics on harmonic motion within a given song. and contemporary country harmonic motion within a song was so mathematically similar to 40's-50's country, from a mathematical standpoint, contemporary country has not moved on from the 40s 50s. shit, i wish i had the article on my computer, it was really interesting
