If you guys like a bit of a shoegaze trip meets Wilco and Sonic Youth
Tried posting this a few days ago, took it down a few minutes later. But here it is again. I'll let you decide whether this is the work of some Scaruffi level contrarian or not.
"Modern music is catchy and enjoyable, but it’s rare to come across unique, original content that breaks the industry archetype. “Merriweather Post Pavilion” by Animal Collective tackles a completely new brand of music by offering a myriad of uncommon music pieces. The album cannot be classified as pop, rock, classical or jazz, since its unique nature makes its genre hard to pin...

"Unfortunately, the lyrical and vocal aspects of “Merriweather Post Pavilion” are disappointing. The general feel of the voices in every song has a masked, auto-tuned quality to it, so this album is not for fans who want to see vocalists thrive. In addition, the two singers Dave Portner and Noah Lennox are often difficult to tell apart in the midst of the complicated and overwhelming sound effects. The majority of the songs focus too strongly on the instrumental aspects of music and fail to adequately develop lyrical themes that are equally as important. Therefore,...

Legit description
"“Bluish” is another song on the album that explores the theme of love with an alluring take. The artist longs for the presence of those who are out of sight, and the yearning tone in this song evokes feelings of sadness about meeting strangers and forgetting childhood friends. The lyrics “I’m getting lost in your curls, I’m getting rushed back on a whim” exemplify the artist’s deep infatuation with strangers and the social anxiety he suffers when he tries to connect with them. The engaging expression of lyrics and musical mood is perfectly suited towards...

I don't get it. I mean it's an ok pop album, but why do people put it on a pedal stool and call it a masterpiece so often?

Post everything wrong with Pitchfork. Go!
Pitchfork
Pitchfork is a sign that the usual music publications we turn to are dying.
I have hope that in the next few years Marcel will lead music journalism down a greater, more experimental new path. He has to destroy the machine while inside the machine.
the lateralus review is really childish true even though I'm no fan
>The music video features a bunch of people doing random things in nature while wearing animal masks
I got a much worse and really cliche one right now
>black and white music video
>music video is just edited concert footage
>Last track ends on an increasingly loud sustained tone.

Idols are overlooked for a variety of biased reasons and perceived flaws: age, plastic surgery, personality, dating.
/kpg/, this is Park Sojin, she's Girls Day's leader. She is one of the most underrated idols on /kpg/. Her defect is that she hates dumplings. Nobody on /kpg/ waifus her, because she's a "dumpling cunt."
This woman should be waifu'd by everybody in this thread.
We can waifu her with 2 other people.
holy shit the new radiohead sucks

Pretty mediocre anon
into the fire
there goes my desire
whoops i can't go higher
guess you were a liar
rolled in a tire
through the wire
i can't play the lyre
the circumstances are dire
that girl i admire
eternally fuck these threads
Spin incentives from that wheel
Innocence is ignorance wrapped up in tears
Weave a world so fragile, from your fingertips
Pile up the broken, and the damned, and sick
A message, lit up in the dark
The candle flickers and spirits merge as I depart
How long must I lay?
How long must I look down?
Confessions bare and plain to see
Misery will haunt your steps as you walk
Give me something I can safely put my trust upon
Foundations strong but nothing will grow upon
A message, lit up in the dark
The candle flickers and spirits...

Underrated
Why is it that "electronic music" (or rather all of it's branches), has hit a stop? I feel like there was more and more progression, then it just stopped in the 2010s.
Can you really say that Garden of Delete is progressive electronic, or could you say it is progressing anything at all other than banal middle of the road bullshit?
my dick is progressing to your moms ass

OPN has falling off
but nah electronic music is still progressing
just checkout anyone on here http://p-a-n.org/releases/

I didn't like garden of delete because it felt like it was a step back from his previous and more daring material (R+7, Replica).
While there is emerging electronic artists pushing the boundaries of the genre, they aren't talked about very much on /mu/. If you're looking for something that will challenge you when you listen to it, try pic related. Just came out this year, and it's really good.
>Listen to song once
