The movie this is from is literally my favorite movie ever. It may not be a masterpiece, objectively, but I have a deep love for the film. Have had the soundtrack on CD ever since my mom got it for me way back when. She gave it to me on Easter or Christmas, I can't remember which, though both are quite fitting.

Carl Anderson is great in it. And Ted Neeley just fucking eviscerates those high notes.
Only real problem I have with that release I uploaded is that the mixing on it is pretty bad sometimes. Sometimes the instruments sound off from each other (though this only happens a few times), and the sound quality is just overall pretty fuzzy. You can tell the soundtrack release didn't have much attention given to it. The worst example is in "Simon Zealotes". The "Jesus, I am with you..." part sounds so muffled. It's unfortunate, but the music is so goddamn good, I've always been able to look past it.
Also, check out the (little) solo material that Ted Neeley has. Great stuff. I haven't looked into Carl Anderson's solo material too much though.

Boris - Amplifier Worship, 1998 (320kbps CBR)
After the all-out drone assault of Absolutego, which closely follows the steps of bands like Earth and Skullflower, the band decided to add a bit (any, at all) of tempo to their next release, creating a suffocating midpoint between drone and sludge, anticipating what would be called atmospheric sludge and falling right in line with the kind of Stoner Doom that made bands like Sleep and Electric Wizard household names, while upping the aggressiveness levels to 11.
Boris were part of the second wave of the whole drone/stoner/sludge/doom scene, yet they carved a niche for themselves, starting with this release, which somewhat hides and at the same time reveals some hidden intentions and accents that would become synonym with Boris. Still, when taken as-is, barebones and at face value, this is one of the most crushing releases of the '90s.
