yeah but I don't just mean physically weaker, I seem to lack basic cognitive abilities that others can exercise on a whim. like further up in the thread they're talking about "oh you need to grow a thicker skin and not care so much about being judged". but HOW? I saw a think in the news today about how making yourself feel self-forgivness and turning away from guilt decreases the frequency of depressive episodes. but HOW? lots of people seem to be able to just choose what connections their brains make or the way they feel about something at will and I don't understand it. how do you just "make yourself" not care about something? surely it's involuntary? things like this keep coming up in conversations about all sorts of different topics and I feel like I'm missing some kind of vital brain mechanism that lets people develop and grow- which from what I understand about my issues, is probably exactly the case. and that's without even getting into stuff like concentration and being able to take in information by reading it.
the only things I'm good at are resource-intensive and creative hobbies that take a lot of time that just isn't available to most working adults, namely writing, and writing music. things that people do for fun, not for sustenance. I barely function in everyday life, let alone studies or work. I just feel so defective and hopeless.
I don't know why people think I seek attention over this stuff. above all else I want literally nothing more in life to just be normal and insignificant and not stand out in any way at all. I hate who I am. it's hard not to think I should just die.

I was recently diagnosed with major depression, and even though that it's inarguable that I'm depressed, it's not because of the kind of chemical imbalance that anti-depressants are going to correct. The Master bedroom of my apartment is going to be vacated in the middle of June. I'm not inclined to move, and while the remaining housemates spoke to me with worry and concern, a devious thought came across my head. This is much more of an opportunity than anyone has cared to admit.
