Anyone with a low-level customer facing job transition almost entirely in one place?
I'm not looking forward to doing the most personal thing I ever do as publicly as possible as slowly as possible. I work overnight so you'd think it'd be ideal with as few customers as I have... but the problem is I work at a gas station from midnight to 9 am now. All my customers the last 4 hours are regulars. I'm the only one on the kitchen at that time.
Coworkers are a none issue, the ones who know me and the shit every other shift piles onto me respect me a lot. The company I work for her a detailed company-wide anti-discrimination policy that covers gender expression... my co-workers will talk anyway, but whatever.
But the customers. I can imagine the progression and it's nerve-wracking. At first they'll start to think "he need to cut his hair, he's starting to look like a girl", and they'll think that for months and not realize it's not just the hair length that's changing...
Then eventually the apron I wear probably won't be enough to hide boobs growing in.
The same people I've seen for the last 6 months could very likely be seeing me for the next year or so.
