Hey everybody, first time on /LGBT
Recently a long time friend of mine has announced that he is actually a woman. Born a man, i've known him for 14 years now, both of us being 25. Met on a soccer team when we were 11, we were neighbors so we chilled tons.
I try to be accepting to all the crazy crap out there, so my initial reaction was just "you go girl". Since then tho, I've thought about the concept of transgenderism more and my thoughts are actually quite negative :( I was hoping i could have a chat with somebody who has gone through this...

That's an interesting issue, actually. I don't think there's anyway to resolve your problem other than to make all bathrooms gender neutral. You know trolls are just going to say they identify as women to get into women's bathrooms and there will be no objective way to disseminate between trolls and actually trannies.

Similar situation for me, only I'm a lesbian looking for a girl that actually, y'know, looks like a girl. All the out lesbians I've met in my town look more masculine than some of the guys I know. I'm fine with tomboys, they're cute, but full-on butch? No thanks.

Yes..one of my friends is bi, and I really like her but there's no way she would ever like me back. Her girlfriend is so much hotter than me, they're both way out of my league.
