K, today I stopped into my LGS for some trigger time and shopping around.

I had my eye on some level III soft armor, and when I went to purchase it, the woman behind the counter told me it was illegal for anyone other then LEO's or security personnel to do so.

I live in MD, so it wouldnt be the craziest shit I've heard, but after searching for a few hours, the only thing I could find was the longstanding law of not allowing felons to purchase body armor.

So, two questions. Are they full of shit and just didn't want to sell me the damn armor? And are there even any states in the Union that prevent citizens from purchasing body armor?

Alternatively, who's even ever heard of such a thing? LGS and shitty states general thread, I suppose.

Couldn't tell you anything about MD state law, but I assume it's not dissimilar to people on Armslist who want to see your CPL. Is it a legal requirement? No, but does it potentially save them from a headache down the road? Yes.

Um
why can't felon's purchase body armor?
Anyone wanna fill me in on why that law exists?

That's fucking weird as

Figured I'd ask this here and not /adv/. Been fighting it for a while and denying it. But its time I ended my life. Not going to take up your time with why I need to. Just needed to ask about how I should go about it. I know my brother really likes my AR and my K31 and my dad likes my mosin because I managed to get the action pretty smooth. Just curious which I should use? Or should I sell them to help with my funeral? Was also thinking of maybe just buying a hi-point so they can still enjoy my rifles after I am gone.

What if it's all just a conspiracy theory, /k/?
What if all these mass shootings are being staged and all these politicians spouting gun control nonsense actually have an ulterior motive?
What if instead of trying to disarm America, they are instead driving panic buys? What if they WANT the general population of the US to arm up with as much as they can?

I don't pretend there's any merit to this theory, I'm basically just pulling it out of my ass, but fuck it let's have a fun thread. If this were the case and they were trying to scare citizens of the US into arming up, for what purpose would that be? Secretly expecting an invasion? Trying to make a coming civil war more brutal? ALIENS?!

In the past, Judge Merrick Garland has ruled from the bench that a complete ban on handguns is constitutional, and that the executive branch has unlimited power to impose firearms registration in direct defiance of Congressional grants of authority and explicit limits. He is a dedicated, committed, anti-gun warrior.

According to Carrie Severino, in 2007 Garland voted for: "… a ban on individual handgun possession, which even prohibited guns kept in one’s own house for self-defense.
[also, in 2000]…Garland voted with [Judge David] Tatel to uphold an illegal Clinton-era regulation that created an improvised gun registration requirement."

Of course, the New Yorker is already calling him "President Obama’s Sensible Supreme Court Choice".

Why doesn't Spyderco smooth, round or chamfer the hole on their knives more? The only one I know they do that to is the Southard, and it's so comfortable compared to the sharp edge of the regular holes. It really tears up finger and nails with use. You would think they would do it on more of their expensive knives.

I do have an office 9-5 job, so probably. Their holes are adequate, but I do love the smooth hole on that Southard. Feels so good to finger compared to the sharp edges on the other ones.

Whats the point in buying a large .22 lr rifle or carbine instead of just getting a handgun?

Won't both be just as effective in killing critters and varmint?

Barrel length affects accuracy captain nofunz.
>>
>>29361961
But wouldnt lugging around a much heavier gun for way longer affect your accuracy anyways?

Carrying around a ton of other shit without having to carry a full length .22 would tire you out at a way lesser rate wouldn't it? Isn't that more beneficial if you're innawoods?

How does /k/ refute this?

>Later, Van Riper also aired his frustrations in a taped-for-television interview: "There were accusations that Millennium Challenge was rigged. I can tell you it was not. It started out as a free-play exercise, in which both Red and Blue had the opportunity to win the game. However, about the third or fourth day, when the concepts that the command was testing failed to live up to their expectations, the command at that point began to script the exercise in order to prove these concepts. This was my critical complaint. You might say, 'Well, why didn't these concepts live up to the expectations?' I think they were fundamentally flawed in that theyleaned heavily on systems analysis of decision-making. I'm angered that, in a sense, $250 million was wasted. But I'm even more angry that an idea that has never been truly validated, that never really went through the crucible of a real experiment, is being exported to our operational forces to use.

In 2002 distributed lethality was a twinkle in the mind's eye. Fast forward 14 years, and it's very, very real.

Those fixed exercises were fixed for good reasons, the Navy knew exactly what they were working towards.

I'm having trouble finding clear none legal speak.
I know this, in Ohio I have a conceal carry permit honored by Tennessee, Georgia, Kentucky and Florida. In Ohio I can conceal in my car and have the gun wherever I like and loaded.

In kentucky can I have the loaded gun concealed on me in my car?

In Tennessee can I have the loaded gun concealed on me in my car?

In Georgia can I have the loaded gun concealed on me in my car?

I'm Florida can I have the loaded gun concealed on me while in my car?

I'm having trouble finding clear answers. Tennessee is confusing, I found something that said you can transport it anyway except on your person but was that just for non permit holders? Anybody actually from those states can answer for their state?
