Been on quite a few interviews but so far no dice. But I think schools interviews for teachers up through july. Could be worse could be better. I have a chem cert, but its alt route and I have no experience teaching. Should be able to find a place, I just dont want to teach in a city or at a charter school. I guess worse case I can get my physical science one with like 2 more classes and go where ever I want with a year of experience in a shit school

How do we debunk the stupid "If you use an AR-15 to hunt, you suck at hunting and shouldn't own an AR-15" meme? The AR-15 is completely viable for hunting, especially if you use soft-points. Is it really too much to ask to buy one rifle for multiple purposes instead of 3 for thousands of dollars?

I don't think people understand how easy it is to get shot in the US and I don't mean that as a bad thing. I was talking with some friends who are more left than the hand I don't fap with and they simply did not understand the very basics of self preservation.
The idea of shooting another person for something as little as throwing a punch blew their mind. Even stressing the notion to them that the person is assaulting you with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm meant nothing to them. They could not wrap their head around killing a person who wishes to cause you physical harm. The only way that they saw justification is if someone had a gun pointed at them.
I'm American through and through and the fact that I could, as they put it, 'gun down' a person who was throwing punches at me not only makes me feel proud, but safe. The idea that I can protect my life with deadly force against anyone who wishes to cause me physical harm straight up gives me a freedom boner.
Apparently there are mass amounts of people that don't understand this. They don't understand that if you pick a fight with the wrong person you could be killed in a manner that is not only legal, but perfectly justified. If a person thinks doing something as simple as throwing punches at someone is anywhere near to a good idea they apparently don't understand the rights of American citizens. That if they make an active choice to assault a person and in turn endanger that persons life to the extant that that person fears for it they could be killed on the spot at that very moment legally and justifiably.
As straight forward as I am with the idea of self preservation I would still like to see /k/s opinion on my stance.

Hey /k/, /pol/ack here with a someone unorthodox question. The shit is definitely hitting the fan, and we're almost certain to see some more happenings in the coming month. Living in Orlando, under a mile from Pulse; this whole thing has shook me up a little bit. I definitely am going to be purchasing myself a firearm, just in case.
The thing is, I have a sort of strange work situation.. For about the next 30 days I'll be surviving on less than 200$, but will be making a good 10,000 after those 30 days.
I'll definitely buy a high quality firearm when I do get that money, but I just don't feel comfortable waiting until then. Do you guys have suggestions at all towards the cheapest possible, reliable firearm I could buy? I can try to gather up a little more money if necessary. Also suggestions on what to buy in 30 days would be great.
Also I'm unfortunately only 20 years old; so I'm not sure as to how the law works there in Florida, and if I can get a handgun or not.. I think I can get one, but not the ammo?
Get a single shot 13 gauge for home defense for around $100. You can find them at most own shops. It's not optimal but it's within your price range and you can buy some 00 buck for it.

Same reason why a lot of Honda Civics are involved in car crashes. They're a popular, economical, easy to drive car so more people will own them. They're not intrinsically less safe then any other car on the road, and banning the sale, use, and manufacture of the Civic isn't going to reduce car fatalities as drivers will just drive other cars.
