Whats the going price for a SKS? Any reason to get one now, besides just likings sks's?
Anywhere from $350 to $500+. I bought one for $375 because I really wanted one, if you want one go for it, but I'd save a bit more and get an AK or AR that I won't have to modify or use shitty mags to get more than 10 rounds. It's a great gun, don't misunderstand, but for the price they go for anymore I'd just get something better for a little more or even the same price.
If you do decide to get one, get a Russian or a Romanian if you can find them.

I've got a norinco with a 30 rd mag if yah wanna buy.
It gets you into the x39 platform and you don't have to invest in bannable magazines.

lose some weight and grip it properly next time, fat fuck.
Fired this beauty at the local range, but didn't catch the name or brand. Guy at the rental counter said it was brand new... I took a picture and figured I'd just find it online later, but I've browsed every AR I can find for sale and can't find what model this is.
So help! if someone can identify it.

oh wow, I fell in love with the most expensive AR on the rental counter. My bank account is going to HURT.

Knights Armament SR15 maybe?
Check it out guys
Good job Fathands it looks like shit
Why are clones of this so infrequent compared to the 1911?
>>30335888
Because they couldn't clone the best all-steel 9mm every made. Also, its an acquired taste. I used to find it ass ugly, but now its grown on me.
muh two world wars
>>30335888
Because just like the 1911, it shit
How much would you value this /k/riss for?
>>30335785
>That tiny rat tail tang.
Three fiddy and I want a bag of skittles.

/k/ommon now be serious
Nothing
Considering buying a Pioneer. I live in Commiefornia and it passes even this round of shitshow laws. Only issue is I hate the Mag release, you have to pinch it with one hand and pull the Mag with the other. Thoughts?
Bump
I think Sacramento should have a nuke dropped on it. Get out of state residency and get a real Vepr.
>>30335745
>you have to pinch it with one hand and pull the Mag with the other
Uh, what? I own a Super and you can pop the mag release with one thumb to jettison the mag.
Why do Russian riffles always look like something that was made from scrap metal found in a dumpster?
>>30335636
Because that's where they came from and where they should return to.
>>30335636
because the government owns everything so theres no point to making it pretty for a consumer that doesn't exist
Because russian gun designers don't give a shit about your sense of aesthetics, they only care for getting a functional weapon..
What is a good 1911 that won't break the bank?
~$800 budget.
>tfw no money for a WC

Stop being edgy and just buy a glock.
>>30335260

lol, getting a bit desperate?
Can we have military cats thread?
>>30335133
Literally who cares?
>>30335133
>mfw the military have neo-nazis and ethnic gang members all working in the same unit razzing each other and generally acting respectable and building camaderie
>SJWs get mad even when their own goals of forced diversity are accomplished.
>>30335186
The SJWs' goal is the death and disarmament of all white men, everywhere. Don't believe their lies.
Fictional /k/ommandos, late 19th century edition. Bill the motherfucking butcher.
>>30335053
I was going to say Hugh Glass, but apparently he existed IRL.
>>30335053
Pretty much every character Clint Eastwood ever played.
>>30335053
I wanted to say John Marston from RDR, but then I remembered that his story takes place in the early 20th century. But then I remembered Silas Greaves. Gunslinger was an incredibly fun in its gameplay and unique narrative. I highly recommend it if you like shooting games.
Ask a guy who sells guns anything. Avionics too
>>30334991
>ask a guy who sells guns anything
nothing special. i spent a summer working the gun counter at Dicks too.
Call me when you're an SOT FFL
Will 6.5 Creedmoor ever be a mainstream chambering?
>>30334991
did you ever sell something special?
Sup /k/. I've stupidly put off buying a gun and now with the terrorist attack it looks like an "assault weapons" ban is on the way. Are there any good rifles out there in the $350-$550 range? I might be able to go a bit higher but that would really be stretching it. Also what's a good first rifle?
>>30334937
Bumping because I'm in the same predicament. I'm thinking about an SKS because I hear good things about their simplicity and reliability. Opinions?
>>30334985
>>30334937
$550 wont get you much of quality for a new AK or AR, but take a look at the used market. If you want to get a "new" gun, an SKS is the way to go, also you may be able to build your own AR for that price, but the quality may be iffy.
>>30334937
>>30334985
Simply in the interest of part and ammunition commonality, you should probably get an AR. In the interest of saving money, you should build this AR from a stripped lower, upper, and decent parts. This will set you back probably $400-700 depending on what parts you use.
>protip
Get an A2 style front sight and that will save you about 50 bucks you wouldve had to spend on Rooty Tooty Tactical Shooty Brand Operator Flip...

Let's see the worst knife/sword/etc. That you've seen. I offer you this masterpiece of steel and it's affordable, only $29.95!
>>30334899
desu if they made that shit out of quality steel it'd be pretty badass
>>30335254
I would look badass, but with less material it will always be easier to bend/break than an actual machete
