How do you guys feel about porn comics? Is the industry growing, or is it still a tiny niche audience? Is it better to appeal to a broad market or should one try to find a specific fetish to market to?
I'm wondering because now that I have a job, I'm buying more and more porn comics instead of just torrenting them and I want to hope that people can make a living off of this.

I hear catering to niche fetishes is a good way to make money. Generalize yourself and you'll make probably a bit of cash but hook a few creeps who constantly come to you to fill their niche and you'll make more.

Yes and no. Appealing to the niche fetishes can get you some serious money. Look at our tiniest horses, although the appeal of that has waned slightly.
However you can't be TOO niche, or you'll never be found/never find that one group of people that really want to pay top dolla for their porn. You seem to need to be somewhat established before you can set yourself up as THE porn artist of choice for a particular fetish.
As for making a living? Certainly. Tracyscops for example, who creates those Spidercest comics you've probably seen around, gets four grand a month from her patreons.
