Would the movie Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within had been better received if not for the name Final Fantasy in the title? It was pretty mindblowing for an animated movie's visuals at the time.

Does anyone know the name of that graphic novel, real alternative stuff, black and white, about teenagers who developed mutations and started freaking out and so on? Like blisters on their face or their skin falling off? And it's like a metaphore of AIDS because it's the seventies or eighties?

The comic book roped in fans with Peter's literal autism. The cartoons grabbed the kiddies when they were young. Nostalgia did the rest.
