Kidnap Steven. Tell Crystal Gems that he won't harm him but that he's keeping him hostage until Garnet unfuses (he knows that Garnet is a fusion from simple observation and deduction). Garnet sees this as the most expedient way to make sure that Steven is available should Diamond/Cluster trouble go down. She splits and either Ruby or Sapphire agree to stay with Batman to ensure that Garnet doesn't re-fuse. Garnet is effectively dead.

His plan would be a lot simpler if you think about it a bit. Garnet's ability to see into the future starts to fail when strong emotion is involved. Thus, he either a( hires insurgents/ IRA members/ other emotionally involved groups or b( gets himself emotionally invested into her destruction, thus effectively bringing her down to somebody who is strong and fast, but not much else.

If they ever do release the rest of the episodes it will be one of the longest mid-season hiatuses in history.
I'm pretty sure the episodes for Season 3 are all finished, but Nickelodeon might be holding up Dreamworks from releasing them. It was certainly not Dreamworks' intention to put the series on hiatus until the third movie while it was mid-way through a season. I think the severing of ties between Viacom and Dreamworks put Nickelodeon in a situation where they have the broadcast rights and are simply not airing the remaining episodes because Dreamworks is now their competition.
It's only a matter of time before the episodes get out, but I have no idea when. There are probably lawyers involved which is why it's taken so long. I'm also about 90% sure that the new episodes will be put out through Netflix since Dreamworks has been distributing a lot of material through them already.
From there, I think the big question will be what happens next with the series. They might call it a wrap with Season 3, but it's also possible that the show will live on in some form. It was always a middle-chapter between Kung Fu Panda 1 and 2, and my gut tells me that the writers will at some point want to start filling in the gap between 2 and 3. I think a jump ahead in time after Kung Fu Panda 2 is coming if KFP is going to continue on TV beyond season 3, so the question remaining after that would be if they call it Season 4 of Legends of Awesomeness or if they re-launch the show with a new undertitle to reflect the shift forward in time.
