I know people already don't give a shit about this show, and would have every right to do so, but I just want to point out something.
This show already did an Ultron arc, killing him, and are only doing it again just to synergize with Age of Ultron, a movie that isn't even relevant anymore.
Why are they using ms marvel in avengers?
Wouldn't it make more sense if she appeared on spiderman unlimited?
So I just finished watching X-men tv series.
What's /co/ opinion on it?
Best episodes?
Best characters?
My favorite episode is the first Mojo one where he traps them in parody tv shows
> I Dream of Jean
It's certainly nostalgic, I'm not sure I could enjoy it without already liking The X-Men and watching it growing up
>>80401636
Also, why last season had such a shitty animation compare to the previous ones? is really painful to watch.
>>80401636
The whole Phoenix and Dark Phoenix saga shit
Say what you say that was the high point of that series
Also the scene where she goes bat shit crazy and we got cameos of a few magical marvel people such as Thor, Strange and Uatu. Fucking based.
What got in my attention nowadays is, there seems to grow a massive hateboner for Spidey in here. Why? He used to be the most loved character here.
Anyway, Spiderfag General, I guess.
>>80399396
i dont hate him i hate what Marvel (Bendis) is doing to him
Because Slott doesn't know how to write him any more. I stopped reading after #700 (Though I can see why people enjoyed Superior even if I didn't), and Slott's basically writing him as a caricature of Peter now. And the all new all different Spidey is just a poor man's Tony Stark which they've openly admitted.
>>80399396
They turned Spidy into Tony Stark and its shit
So Bendis is making a black woman the new War Machine so the diversity crowd wouldn't bitch at him killing Rhodey
Fucking Marvel
Oh, dear... really?
Why do so few people understand what War Machine is for?
War Machine is such a cool name

Who cares

You know, that doesn't sound too bad actually.
From the way their band looked, I'd expected them to be more punk-sounding.
Oh shit! That's definitely Caveboy. I liked their last release, too. Thanks for the heads up anon
Anyone excited that Young Justice might be getting a season 3?
Too bad it won't get a season 3. It ended fine, doesn't need one. Netflix probably isn't interested either.

I wonder what title Gleason will get this time around. I'll follow him anywhere.
Hoping for an Animal Man ongoing.

this
Also, to the thread: what exactly is Rebirth?
I've been away from comics (cape comics for you indieans) lately.
Is it a full reboot like new52?
Is it a meaningless mini marketing event?
>I'll let you in on a little secret, Detweiller. Every adult you've ever known was a kid at sometime in his life. You think we don't remember summer vacation? Riding our bikes down the creek. Catching polliwogs in a jar. Camping out under the stars. Well you're wrong! Sometimes I sit there in my office, looking out at you kids in the playground and I think, "They don't know how good they got it. In a few years, they'll be grownups like me and all those good times will be memories for them, too". So go ahead. Put a whoopie-cushion in my chair. Put fake vomit on my carpet. Make fun of my "big, saggy butt". But don't ever say I don't care about summer vacation, 'cause those memories are the only part of childhood I got left.
Wait a minute....
Definitely the best.
Fuck I looked for the Spenelli line
Does /co/ like this show?
>>80396531
i've only watched the first episode. it was okay enough that'll watch it again.
i still hate Iron Atom Man's armor suit
>>80396531
No, it's boring, badly-written shit.
>>80396531
You can't make up your own mind?
George really took the fact that his life was over really well
>>80394943
Obligatory.
So did his parents. They were unsettlingly blase about their child's safety.
>>80394943
Wasn't their some weird dream episode where some magic made him switch sizes with his Dad and Brother?
>>80394984How did she give birth to him? How did they get him out of her cooch?
Why is Brock so cute this season?
>Being friendly and hanging out with Vatred
>Helping Dean study
>Giving Hank dating tips
> ...I can dodge it.
>No more butt stuff -- I LIKED IT.
>>80394584
Character development. Seeing him come from murder hungry to legendary uncle is awesome.
>>80394584
>implying Brock hasn't always been cute
>>80395254
Will Morpheous (too lazy to look up his name to spell correctly) make an appearance again?I miss the Blackula hunter and the monk
>Imagine if you will, you're a fan of CBS' You love Melissa Benoist, the dynamic is great, the stories are exciting... It's exactly what you've been looking for in a TV show (and the roughly seven million viewers who watched this week agree with you)! As a fan, you've already trolled the cast members' Instagrams daily, made your fan-art, and are ready to take it to the next level: you want to read the comics.
>So you march into a comic book store, and ask to pick up the new "Supergirl" comic. Well, you can't: it was cancelled in May, 2015 -- five months before the new show premiered on TV. And even then, that version of Supergirl had little to no resemblance to what is currently airing on TV... She was an angry, powerful alien who landed on Earth as a fully-costumed adult, battled Superman, and basically had no friends.
>"Supergirl" isn't the only problem here, though... When it comes to Marvel and DC's superhero output, the problem is industry wide. There have been varying tacks taken, and different strategies, but ultimately there are two ways of addressing this issue that must be taken, or Big Two superhero comics will continue to die on the vine.

Do you agree with CBR?
No. Casuals can buy tv tie-in comics if they want, I don't understand the point of making every version the same.
>>80394447
No. Obviously not. People don't read comics because they want the movies, they read comics because they want the comics.
If a character or team gets a movie/tv show then yeah, they should have an ongoing at the same time so that fans of those things have an avenue into the universe, but turning the universe into a mirror of the movie/tv show just ruins what made it special in the first place.

>Imagine if you will, you're a fan of DC's Supergirl. You love Kara Zor-El, the dynamic is great, the stories are exciting... As a fan, you've already trolled the creatice team's Twitters daily, made your fan-art, and are ready to take it to the next level: you want to watch the TV show.
>So you turn on your TV, and switch channels to the new "Supergirl" show. Well, that version of Supergirl has little to no resemblance to what you know and love in the comics... She isn't an angry, powerful alien who landed on Earth as a fully-costumed adult, she never battled Superman, and she basically has lots of friends and social bullshit nobody cares about.

Why did it take DC so many decades to credit Bill Finger for creating Batman?
>>80393287
something something internal turmoil
Kane was really good at milking what Finger did.
>>80393287
Bob Kane and his estate worked tooth and nail to make sure he had the sole credit.
ITT: Failed shows that were ahead of their time
>inb4 megaphone joke
Also, Filmore.
The early 2000's was a very strange time for Disney in general. It's a shame that this show didn't really catch on because it was a pretty clever show
Nick's Upfront is today. Got any predictions for what's to come?
>>80392255
what the hell is upfront?
>>80392255
Man i have yet to come up with an idea worthy enough to be pitched for their shorts program, all i got is plot heavy action and thats not what theyre looking for
>>80392662
Which is a shame. They want to compete with streaming services yet they keep rehashing episodic comedy shit that people forget about because they're so common.
They need to focus on long-term investment series. Serialized shit that can be binged watched when they sell rights to Netflix, DVD box sets, stories that will keep the hardcore fans invested and wanting to come buy and guarantee their money for merch.
Gravity Falls got super popular because it had a mystery question "Who is the Author?" that people kept tuning into in hopes that maybe they would reveal more.
Steven Universe has that same element of mystery where we tune in because we want to know "Who is Pink Diamond" or whatever the other billion questions are.
Avatar was successful because people got to invest time into the story and follow the characters and wanted to see their journey come to an end.
Venture Brothers manages to keep a fanbase despite 4-year long hiatuses because they ended up capturing a diehard fanbase (The true 1000 fans method) who have also invested so much time in the lives in these characters, they want to see it play out. Merch for VB, what little merch they have, sells out like fucking candy because of how cultish their fans are.
But no let's keep approving shit like Breadwinners, Sanjay & Craig, Cupcakery of Doom, and that stupid fucking Sausage piece of shit because we refuse to adapt to current trends and move from our talent scouting methods that were successful in the 90's. Fuck just reboot everything 90's fuck Nickelodeon.
