So it's finally out here. And I believe this movie is underrated among these parts.
I can see that it's not good as 2, but that shouldn't mean it's bad. I'd argue it's as good as 1, if not better.
I think the problem is that it's not very emotional (it has some emotional scenes but not as much as 2 and 1) and for some odd reason people think a cartoon that isn't emotional = bad. And that well, it's a bit "anime" in story structure, but I'd argue it's because it's how usual martial arts/progression...

It's not bad. It's not good. It's mediocre. It had its moments like
>>80740370
but overall it was very forgettable.

It is a good movie but 1 and 2 was amazing so ultimately it was a letdown. I expected much more. It seemed more like an episode from a series than a movie. The pandas were weak. The villain was boring. It was like Tai Lung except nobody knew him so he wasn't threatening.
Shame. After 2, I really hoped they can make it the perfect animated trilogy.
Whenever I read any of Hal's speech bubbles, I always interpret him as sounding like Karl Urban.

Honestly if im picturing anyone from the new star trek movies id say chris pine. Which makes me a little sad hes ole whats his name in the wonder woman movie. Cos hed make a great hal jordan.

I can see it

Pine would have been a perfect Hal
When I read Spider-man I always imagine jackie chans voice as coming from him.
Peter doesnt want no trabble.
Think of your ethnicity/race/whatever that you most identify with or at least think is interesting.
Got it?
Good.Show me the best candidate that that culture/race/ethnicity/nationality/etc has, whether fictional or historical, that can be bastardized into a Disney princess movie. Mulan-types (i.e. Joan of Arc or whatever) are acceptable if you can't think of any good actual princesses/
Bumping for tomorrow.

A bastardised version of los ninos heroes would piss me off to no ends.
Damn brave kids.

Shits too grim for a Disney movie. You don't even have a time buffer like in Pocahontas to hand wave their youth to their depressing death because, you know, they died as kids. I think your heroes are safe anon.
The absolute worst character in the MCU. I'm so glad he won't be in Ragnarok

This is a storyboard for someome who tried out to work on Adventure Time and didn't make the cut.
This is an official storyboard for Adventure Time.
Any Tumblr moron can be storyboard artist these days
rough storyboards are often that, rough
those passes don't get sent to Korea, they're first touched up and have things clarified by board revisionists
Many, if not all of the storyboards Frederator uploaded for early AT back in the day were rough cuts, complete with cut jokes/ scenes
Onto the OP one, just posting one single storyboard doesn't make the rest of it "good," if they weren't chosen, there was probably something wrong with either their pacing, writing, or many other factors that go into hiring someone who will not only be...

I dont mean 'why do you hate comics?'. Because I love comics. I fucking love them. but sometimes some facet will annoy me, or just distract me a moment.
Wondering what does that for you.
Like how in the DC and Marvel universe there are all these fucking crazy inventors and scientists who make these amazing sci-fi breakthroughs and innovations in engineering. Hovercrafts, jet packs, limitless fuel supplies, instant cures for diseases, jet packs, teleportation machines, anti gravity beams, jet packs.
And yet most of the time the world is just the same...

Plus you could just no prize that shit isn't economically viable for mass production/unsafe. Also Spiders invented some stuff that made it into mainstream circulation and Reed has an extortion racket where he promises not to destroy several industries with his inventions.

Different writers and thus different continuities.
When telling me a movie I might like, please limit your responses to, "I sat in a theatre for 2 hours and my attention rarely wavered from the screen," "I have seen many films, and this is one," or my preferred form of recommendation that will usually guarantee my patronage to the cinema, "You wouldn't like it."

Does anyone else think its time for Pixar to go away? Disney has outclassed them for a few years now. The Good Dinosaur being a flop just shows the writing on the wall.
It's redundant for Disney to have two CGI animation studios. Wouldn't it be better for Pixar to close and for Disney to absorb (most) of the staff?
>>80738381
Only Disney can do animated Broadway musical-style movies.
Only Pixar can do something like Inside Out.
John Lasseter's original plan was to have Disney alternate between CGI and traditional, but Winnie the Pooh bombing put an end to that. Lasseter seems to really care about it, though, so they might make another attempt sometime next decade.
inside out was damn good and came out right before.
Good dinosaur was just a flop. Wasn't it kinda stuck in development hell for a bit? They probably realized it was a turd early on.
>>80738449
It wasn't just Good Dinosaur, it was Brave, and Monster's University, and Cars 2. While they weren't financial flops, they didn't have the same quality older Pixar films had.

Why are cartoonist always depressed in some way?
Well adjusted people don't work in animation.
confirmation bias
>>80735884
Same reason why musicians are always depressed. Their art serves as an outlet for releasing their inner frustrations and escaping the real world.

Miracleman started out as Marvelman, an old UK comics character "inspired" by Captain Marvel (Fawcett Comics' Cap Marvel, now called Shazam). "Inspired" meaning "tremendously ripped-off." He had everything that Billy had, from the magic word that turned him into a hero to the extended family of Kids and Juniors.
Then, in the 80s, Alan Moore reimagined him for an anthology called Warrior, giving him a new gritty, introspective, compelling story. It was later reprinted for the...
