What current Marvel books should I be reading?
I haven't been reading Marvel since pre Secret Wars
But the other day I picked up all of Ultimates and New Avengers and they were amazing. I also picked up everything from Avengers: Standoff and loved it.
I'm a little lost with all of the soft reboots lately. What should I be checking out?

So i just finished scott pilgrim. literally just burned through all 6 volumes in a day. i thought it was great, though the last sequence with all the glow and subspace craziness was a bit tough to wrap my head around on the first go. Do you suppose that somewhere in the Marvel Multiverse there's an Earth where all the things that happened on these Timely Comics WWII covers happened? Where Namor, Jim Hammond, Captain America, Bucky, and others somehow also had the power to change their size and killed scores of Axis soldiers? Would the war end early? Would they just go off and change the course of other wars before fighting amongst themselves?
So from what I've heard New York is quite nice now, so why do comics still present it as a shithole?

Manhattan has basically shaped into Hipster central (Lots of gluten-free and vegan restaurants, fashion stores, and Starbucks) while the more shitty parts of the city, like Harlem, have become prime spots for families.
The other boroughs are definitely not as bad as they were a decade or two ago, but you'll still find more crime in Bronx and Brooklyn than Manhattan.

Why is this show so great, /co/? How is a show with such a silly premise this legitimately good in setting up characters and drama? How is none of the relationship stuff annoying or cringy? How does all of the drama and story flow so naturally? How does this show go from making you laugh to being on the edge of your seat in a heartbeat without for a moment feeling forced or jarring?

Rob Thomas is competent and can give both women and men agency.
Everyone in iZombie has their own plot going on at all times and they all try to figure out the ongoing mystery around them with the information they have on hand.
