How much money people make with comics? I once read that DC paid Snyder 120 dollars per page, which isn't much. Considering he is one of their top writers, then the artists, colorists etc must get even less.
And how does it compare to creator-owned work like Image?
As far as I know you don't get paid per page for creator-owned, but by copies sold. I think Image takes a certain cut of sales and you pocket the rest, which if it really takes off like Saga that could be fairly lucrative. However it can also be pretty rough if you don't. Frankly the entire market is really rough on its creators, comics don't sell very well and artists/writers get screwed pretty bad regularly. It's why some decide to move on to film or television, there's more money in that.
Artist get paid more than everyone else, colorist and letterers get paid the least. Writers,colorist,letterers,inkers can work on multiple books, artists can't unless they're Bagley or Henderson fast.
Image doesn't pay you a page rate, you only earn money if your book makes money after Image takes it flat fee.

I have hope for JL Action. I don't like 11 minute episodes but it looks to me like they're trying.
I really have hope for a new JL cartoon or new DC cartoons in general that are syndicated, full-length shows with good animation, good writing, good plot and character development, and have good music. It's always been something that I've always wanted. And unlike the DCAU, they could do some things they never did in that, like making Aquaman a full-time member, giving more attention to Mera and Black Manta, making Zatanna a full-time member, maybe having a more fun atmosphere in general, actually having a JSA, and so on.
Ive been going through most fo the DCAU lately.
I watched BTAS growing up, and then caught a bit of JL and JLU as it aired.
But now Ive gon back and went through the Superman animated series and now all of JL, and Im on season 2 of JLU. It really is a great set of shows.
I just hate how sloooow Flash is, and how wildly peoples powers change from episode to episode, or even part way through an episode.

Without a perfectly climate controlled environment and acid-free storage materials it's going to be slowly deteriorating for as long as you own it.
