I love how many talented artists they've had working on IDW TMNT. It's a really nice way to give every arc it's own distinct feel.
That said, I really hope Sophie Campbell comes back to do a few issues. Northampton was great, and her art is cute without being out of place in the grand scheme of the comic.
Does his no killing policy includes animals or monsters? That would be fucking stupid.

Then you dont want an answer.
So after /co/ praising this movie to hell and back I decided to do you guys a favor and give it another watch. And I'm afraid to say that my opinion hasn't changed from when I watched it in the theatres.
Yes, I formed the exact same opinions rewatching it as I did when I saw it the first time.I'll start with humor. There was no humor in this film, less than any other MCU film perhaps on par with Age of Ultron. What scarce humor was in the movie was real bottom of the barrel shit (ie. virginity jokes, really now?). But humor is a subjective matter so I won't count this as a proper criticism.Action was pretty good for exactly 3 sections: The SHIELD headquarters escape, the Bucky V Captain fight #1 and Bucky V Falcon. I didn't enjoy the car chase scene at all and I honestly don't believe that shit even belongs in a superhero movie.
Which is actually another gripe of mine. This wasn't a superhero movie, this was metal gear solid or whatever. It barely even belongs in the MCU because of it.
>>82494656Plot/themes:
Eh, this film had a great start with them building up an interesting "Captain's ideals V modern US government ideals" but this was thrown out the window so lazily with "it was HYDRA all along". Because of this, the movie ended up being a very cliché "taking over our taken headquarters" movie.Characters:
Neither Steve nor Nat had any character growth in the movie. Steve stuck to his ideals the whole time and Nat was one dimensional. I hear many people praise their chemistry but honestly Thor and Loki's chemistry in Thor 2 trumps this.
As for Bucky, it's honestly sad he's the titular character and yet receives not only a lame final fight with Cap but doesn't have any significance in the film other than being a strong adversary. His existence had nothing to do with the themes or anything.
I'm really sorry, /co/, but I really hope you people will come up with actual rebuttals instead of calling this thread bait. The movie wasn't bad but it sure as hell wasn't anywhere near the top of the MCU.
Thank you for posting your opinion
>>82494665
I'm sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy it, anon.
Carry on.
How would Marvel (or you) even find a better Reed? Who would play him in the MCU should that ever be possible
Literally any handsome good actor in his 40s could play Reed. You won't find a guy as good as RDJ or Evans to their respective characters.
And Ioan Gruffudd isn't even a bad choice. Too bad he's already played the part in those shit movies.
>>82494763
Honestly, outside of Sue, non of the actors in those movies was a bad pick for their parts.
It's just the script wasn't all there (specially for Doom, but it was still way better than what came after).
Who could play the selfish bastard, Richard Reed?
Did anyone else notice that they used a different take for "So was I" for the final cut than they did in the first trailer?

Movie version looks less like Tony's hurt, and instead is saying that he WAS captain's friend, but isn't anymore.
Trailer version looks like he's just disappointed.
They did this with a few lines, most noticeably the 'perfect teeth' bit.
I don't get it.
So, it's just a cute indie twink fuccboi fantasy?
It's a generation defining story about a guy realising he needs to get his shit together to be a decent human being, using fantasy elements to display his escapist desires and refusal to take things seriously. Also, it's awesome.
I love it.

time to buck this modern trend of trying to force every woman in comics to dress like a man
Anyone else think that Superman's powers should be handled a little differently? The main way they usually try to justify them is Superman absorbing Yellow Sun radiation and gaining somehow fueling his powers through that. But I think better explanations for most of them should come from the fact that he's an alien, with different evolutionary abilities.
>Superstrength is obvious, as it was there from the beginning that he was strong because he's a being from a larger planet with higher gravity.
>I've seen versoins of Krypton being portrayed as frigid, so "freeze breath" could easily just be his Kryptonian lungs, that have structures in them to extract heat in the air, so as to lose less in a cold climate.
>X-Ray vision is simply a factor of his eyes having cells to pick up on a lager chunk of the electromagnetic spectrum. Not even a "power", really, just a factor of his biology that his eyes have X-ray sensors in them
>His cells DO have the ability to absorb sun radiation and turn it to heat to survive, and his eyes have the natural ability to radiate that "heat vision". In Krypton's red, less powerful sun, this evolved to share heat with infants, on Earth, this ability is overcharged and comes out in a more violent manner.
Still haven't figured out the main ones such as flight, or invulnerability, but flight at least could have something to do with an ability to counteract Krypton's high gravity. Any ideas on this would be appreciated. I think there's better justifications out there than "Yellow Sun did it"
>>82493859
The main issue is that the writers simply don't seem to want to bother making distinctions like that to allow easy tings like "no solar energy = no power".
Just look at Earth-2 Superman, whose initial power set was established as being possessed by Kryptonians even in Krypton, and just the result of evolution and gravity differences, but when he lost his solar energy due to flying through a red sun in Infinite Crisis he was shown to be just as weakened or even more weakened than modern Superman and Superboy Prime.
>>82493859
Almost every superpower he has can be explained as some form of gravity control.
Other writers have explored this, like in irredeemable/incorruptible.
>>82493859
The Sun directly relates him to a symbol of inherent Good.
>Socrates reveals this "child of goodness" to be the sun, proposing that just as the sun illuminates, bestowing the ability to see and be seen by the eye, with its light so the idea of goodness illumines the intelligible with truth
That is something that NO WRITER should ever rewrite.
>Set in Spain during the Age of Exploration, the film will follow Jack as he discovers a world of giants hidden within clouds. Jack befriends the female giant Inma, who's "10 years old, 60 feet tall, fiery, feisty and a lot to control" and treats him like a living doll, Greno said. Meanwhile, the antagonists, Storm Giants, stand at 120 feet.
