Saw someone share a recipe with some sort of reduced mushroom/soy sauce/brown sugar/scallion filling onigiri that looked pretty tasty. Most of it is probably memezy thought...
Ants as staple food when?
http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2013/13/130514-edible-insects-entomophagy-science-food-bugs-beetles/
>You're probably thinking that it takes a lot of ants to make a meal. True. But they pack a punch: 100 grams of red ant (one of thousands of ant species) provide some 14 grams of protein (more than eggs), nearly 48 grams of calcium, and a nice hit of iron, among other nutrients. All that in less than 100 calories. Plus, they're low in carbs.
Ants are like little specs of peppered protein.
If I had an actual source to buy them, I'd use them.
Ants are 48% calcium?
That seems too high to be true/delicious.

I do not recommend buying one of these. I tried making an omelet like they did in the commercial, and it didn't cook well at all. Do not buy a Magic Bullet.

Need a replacement Keurig, any recommendations? I am looking for cheap, I don't need all of the features.
French press and burr grinder.

I have a ton of K-Cups left, my ex knew I love the Keurig so he fucking took it with him. BTW-not showing tits because I am not a girl.

Sell the kek-cups on eBay
Buy a grinder
Get a non meme coffee machine or a press.
Remember staying for dinner at your friends house and having everything be different from your house.
You sit at the table with their parents and siblings, his dad aggresively breathing out of his nose while he eats, his sister making you self-conscious, while he just sits dumb waiting for chow.
Here comes mom. Oh its only spaghetti, I can handle that, you say.
But wait what's this? She places the dish down and without a moments hesitation, dumps a full laddle of sauce right onto your dinner.
I w-w-wanted it plain with butter and cheese you think to yourself, too scared to even squeak.
Now everyone is happily eating away and your frozen stiff just staring, wanting to leave this plane of existence, too afraid to let out your breath, too afraid swallow.
"Everything OK?"
You smile meekly and put your fork to what lays before you. Squinting at what your trembling hand has brought to your mouth you try and decipher what you see.
Hmm red stuff, thicker than water, something small and green, wait whats that?
An ONION?!
No way is that getting eaten, you put your fork down hoping no one notices and spend the rest of the time eating the bottom where there is minimal sauce contact until you proclaim you are full.
Ahh the good old days eh?

Hopefully this is your first draft. A comedic routine should be honed elsewhere, however. We do not appreciate it.

You left out the part where they all hold hands, close their eyes, bow their heads and say grace or, even worse, ask you to do the honors when your family just doesn't do that. And you have to hold your friends hand in one hand and his dad's hand with the other.
Did you fuck tho?

I bought this thing.
Fucking how do? I never used one before
For grilling, just put charcoal or hardwood in the main part and cook on it.
For smoking, put hardwood in the side box and your food in the main chamber.
Don't use gas unless you want to be lynched.

Nice. Now Google whatever questions you may have. Obviously you didn't post this here for answers. That would be admitting you were a fucking retard.
How do you cook your pork chops and what seasoning do you use?
>>7293893
>>how to cook
Depends on their thickness. If they're thin (half-inch or 1 cm or so) then I season 'em with salt and pepper, sear on both sides in the frying pan, and then add a little splash of something sweet (usually honey) and reduce it down to make a sticky glaze on the chops.
If they're thicker, then I treat them like a steak: Either grill them, or sear in a pan & finish in the oven.

Hey guys, so tonight I want to make some home fries to go with dinner. I want to just bake them in my oven because I'm going to be using the stove top for other things. I want to add in onions and peppers with them too.
My question is, should I microwave the potatoes a bit before hand to start softening them or just throw them in the bowl with my peppers and onions and oil and season and then stick them on a sheet and bake?
I'm making a good amount for everyone in the house so that's another reason I don't want to do it in a skillet.

If you're baking it in the oven, they're not fries anymore, just roasted potatoes.
Just right into the oven, but they do take a long time, almost an hour for a big batch sometimes.
If you were doing them in a skillet, parboil them until they're almost done first.
Yeah parboil if you want, microwave will also do the trick. It makes them cook faster with a softer inside. Lightly shake them in a colander right before you roast them, it will increase the surface area giving you a crispy skin. Squash them slightly half way through to make them crispier. You could add some rosemary too, and a little bit of acid i.e. vinegar or lemon gives them a nice texture. The thicker the fat you use, the crunchier they should be, so you could consider butter.
