Personally, I find them visually appealing. I also like being able to find any and all anime at a mere glance at the screen.
I would hide the filenames, but I am running W7 and like with every other windows OS you can't do shit unless you disable half its functions.
Mainly a visual thing though, like a desktop background or what not, a lot of the anime logos are really well done.
I used to do this then it got tiring as fuck to find missing show icons.
Having default folder icons mixed in was triggering my autism
