Can you drive a plane?
No but I can fly a train.
And I can sail a truck.
Watch me walk a duck
Lets start an /n/ Minneapolis cycling team.
Anyone gonna do the mn state championship TT race?
Minneapolis is such a sexy city. Why does it have to be surrounded by a bunch of liberals ;~;
>>952198
>Implying it's not a beautiful city because of the liberals
Funding parks, transit, arts, etc aren't strong suits of the conservatives.
Post trains you enjoy travelling / commuting in.
I don't think enjoy is the right word, but it was better than driving. Took it from Oakland to Sacramento in 1hr 45min. Took me close to 4 hours driving last time because of traffic. It was reasonably comfortable, had free WiFi and had a full bar.

God help you.

it's quiet, comfy, and just a little cramped when there's 4 people in the table seats

Are there any links to good basic maintenance guides for bicycles? Never touched a bike in my life outside riding.

It's really easy senpai.
Just google, and I find these channels/websites to be especially useful:
Lots of to the point info:
http://www.sheldonbrown.com/
GMBN is, I think, more reliable than GCN on the tech/maintenance side of things:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_A--fhX5gea0i4UtpD99Gg
Seth's Bike Hacks is an amazing channel, right to the point, lots of useful information put in an easy no bullshit way:

Thanks a bunch, I did google, but the results I got told me different things so I wasn't sure what was actually meaningful, so I thought I'd actually ask.
For those of you that use GoPros/action cams, where do you position your camera?
I find putting the camera at the top makes it way too tall to catch anything, and putting it off to the side (near the ears) cuts off the whole left/right side of the video
I tried putting it at a downwards angle but the visor cut off 50% of the video. (see: shitty video to the left)
Any mounting tips? Where do you guys like to put yours? I was thinking about maybe a handlebar mount but I think the vibrations from the bike would kill the camera

If you want to record your ride, on top of or in the front of the crown of the helmet is great.
If you want to also record whatever your hands and stuff are doing (which isn't always as appealing to others as it is for yourself), use a chest-mount harness.
OFFICIAL GENERAL PURPOSE FORWARD-FACING ACTION CAMERA MOUNTING POSITIONS FOR CYCLING POWER RANKINGS
1. Chest mount
POWER GAP
9. Top of helmet
10. Side of helmet
POWER GAP
900. Fixed frame mount
MOTION SICKNESS GAP
9001. Steering axis mount

Is Hong Kong-styled development the answer to the walkability problem?
You can have a walkable city without cramming tens of thousands of people into a square mile.
>>957055
no, just ban all cars from cities and have decent public transport
>>957268
You really can't.

Ride after them next time and chase them down and call them cute, then an hero for being a filthy degenerate wanting to fuck 4 girls at once.
I just got a bike messenger job. I've biked all my life for transit/commute but never anything too hardcore.
Any tips? I'm going to pick up some cycling shorts, any other equipment I should have?

A sprocket fell off my rear wheel ... like a rivet came out?
How do I fix this?
That's a rear derailleur pulley. It also appears half of your rear derailleur is missing. Get a new one.
And please, next time use the bike questions general.
>dat valve stem angle
Yep, missing bushing and end caps in addition to the bolt. You'll definitely need a replacement derailleur if the other half of the cage is gone. Might be able to get one used from a shop, local FB group or bike coop.
Before you fix, check that you have an actual bike and not some walmart piece of crap.
Post commuters and utility set ups. Let's see your Monday-Friday rides /N/
My daily driver... much fun, very zoom.
I commute on a honda 50cc replica, in office suit
This is how I get back and forth places.
Wat do You think about transferring this shitty no name bike into commuter?
Also, i know that /n/ and cyclists in general love oldschool steel frames, but always these frames are some legendary ancient italian racing heritage shit, and mine is some taiwanese POS. Would it get any cred here?
Also, Roast my bike please
This bike has Human Fit Technology.
Its so much above carbon tubing

Is that your own opinion, or are you looking for someone to convince you that they're good?
As someone that owns one I think they can be rather good, very fun and they can make it possible to ride stuff that would otherwise be very difficult if possible at all. I wouldn't say they completely replace unassisted bikes, the weight can be a hindrance especially when the battery runs out or they're just low powered. The prices on most pre-builts are also prohibitively high and for the same price you...

OP's dad fucking OP's mom was a horrible idea. Prove me wrong.
Protip: You can't.
I'm all for e-bikes if they encourage more people to commute and ride around towns, and e-MTBs are fine on trails that are already open to dirtbike motorcycles or ATVs, but e-MTBs on actual MTB trails are a terrible idea. I don't care whether it's gasoline powered or battery powered: motorized vehicles don't belong on mountain bike trails.
>Specialized made a concept bike that is literally named 'Fuck UCI'
http://www.ilovebicycling.com/specialized-fuci-bike-bike-of-the-future/
It has a motor because weakfag downtubers are too weak to accelerate with a 36" wheel though.
Pretty sure that's been around for a while.
And it's not a real Fuck UCI bike.
Anyone who knows about the history of bicycle racing knows UCI equipment regulations were originally intended to ban a bike they really felt had an unfair advantage.
The recumbent.
>>951387
Oh, you're the recumbent poster. Fuck off.
>>951387
>regulations were originally intended to ban a bike they really felt had an unfair advantage. The recumbent.
Well, recumbents really have an advantage when it comes to attracting homosexual riders, I'll give you that.
