I know innkeeper flat out told me not to, but I still want to make a system for him, even if it will never be used. It's REALLY fun
here is the tentative upgrade list (limited to 10 in each category for sanity) alphabetized until I can tier these in a satisfying manner.
final version will have upgrade properties and a more fleshed out growth system for the inn to help players make decisions.
The system starts out fairly simple, and currently assumes the inn is still a shitheap with no upgrades or functions. In order to fully unlock trees to pursue, you will have to focus on remodeling certain areas to make them workable bases for you to start expanding. Development tree expansion points are marked in their category color.
Additionally. this system is somewhat tiered in that you cannot purchase or install some functions without having a specific prerequisite (i.e. you cannot expand your spirits inventory without expanding the tavern first, just as you cannot commission live performers without a stage), but for most other purchasable functions, you can simply pay for the installation. Again, I haven't finished it YET so bear with me here.
Currently, certain upgrades are set to provide or encourage different clientele. (i.e. Podium and Projector Screen upgrade will encourage business ponies and the like to use your inn as a corporate gathering hall.)
