The 72 Story structure is now in danger of collapsing under it's own weight. Governor Spout had this to say. "We can't let big construction endanger our children, just because they think it's too costly to check their equipment. I feel, I know that the public will side with me if they knew, just how dangerous these printer glitches are becoming." Life is hard and sometimes the only way to cope with it was to dull it out. Your mother knew that, and in turn you leaned it yourself.

"Yeah, tell me how to get somewhere beautiful, like the center of your little heart of gold."
>"Excuse me? Where?"
>Right there, that's the kind of thing that crushes your heart. Strait to business, no real equinity at all. It's like every time you wish that Brandy could be a real mare, she reminds you why she can't.
"I was only joking Brandy."
>She giggles a little bit, "Oh, I get it. you're suck a flatterer File.
"Yeah, I know, a regular Casanova."
>"You do know that there are lewd options in my programming right? would you like me to activate them?"
>You know very well that the kind of programmers who would program a customization A.I. companion would be the same kinds of perverts that would make it so you could shove a vibrator or several animated stallion cocks inside of her. It's just strange hearing this little A.I. who's soul motivation is being helpful ask you if you want to use those options. You felt a little dirty reading the heading in the readme file when you installed her, and still do thinking about it now. Of course if you did ever use those options only two would know about it, you and a pony who isn't even real.
"We're going to the grocery store."
>"Yes Sir, File! Turn left in three blocks!"
>Looking through the store you pick up about 175 bits worth of food better than spaghetti hoops, leaving you with 1497 bits.

As you finish up, she's still going.

Well if we're gonna restock the 420supply that would pretty much just leave us with enough for rent. The rest we'd probably need to keep as a cushion.

"I'd like to think that you're right, even if it's more than likely that we've traded love for neon lights and fast cars. Here, it's the least I can do."

Winter seems like our best choice, it's very low key and will not bring a lot of attention to us.

I also vote on hitting on the "lusty" landlord, course of action?

Go to her apartment and make a comment on your earlier meeting like "Hey, I heard your synth leg was sounding a little squeaky, you want to go out and get it patched up?"

I'm sure like an earlier comment come off as intrusive, but at this point in history synth limbs and synth malfunctions are extremely common.
>>
I vote Winter for several reasons. Brown and Rev both seem like very high stakes jobs with significant risk of shit going south and landing us in pony jail. That leaves Winter and GoodGuy. Construction printers have been in the news recently, and are likely under more public scrutiny than before. Lets shy clear of those jobs for a while. That leaves Winter.

Plus, we just got off a medical-related job, we have medical-related issues, and cyberpunk is a medical-related genre. Thematics are important!

Plus, maybe it is something on the treatment of nerve disorders or something relevant to our issues. Unlikely, but live in hope.

As to the landlord, we are in no place to be starting a relationship right now. I'll post Maslow's hierarchy of needs if I have to.
>>
>>25669208
Aside from jobs, I think we should focus on getting of Octagons in the future, even if it means more Fabuloso.

Octagons are cardiotoxic and eventually produce arrhythmias, heart attack, and death. Fabuloso is depresses breathing, and will kill us slower (or not at all if pony Naloxone exists).

Getting off of both is a fantasy until we have legitimate medical treatment or a painless cyborg wing.

For now I'd say we just need to keep working, and try to upgrade ourselves from cocaine/opiate addict to just opiate addict. Our heart can't be in very good shape considering that we have been doing this every day for years.

Hell, we might have already had other health problems due to our drug abuse that we don't even know about. I demand a full medical history! For all we know we have a cyborg heart, a bum knee, a peanut allergy, and a neural implant to correct our dyslexia.

>You contact Wintermute and try to set up a meeting with the client to discuss the terms of your employment, but this client doesn't seem to operate the same way as other clients. Wintermute tells you that you will be paid 5000 bits for completing the job, which is good money plus an extra 2000 if it's done clean. Winter mute also does not tell you where you are taking the information from, simply stating that he will contact you with further instructions. You try to get more information, but you are met with silence.
>Feeling defeated you sit back and just, think for a while. Your thoughts turn to augmentations. For a long time, you wanted to get jacks to interface with cyberspace, from what you've read, hacking with yourself jacked into the system would make your job easier.
>You realize that your landlord has her prosthetic leg, and things might be better if you try to get more on her good side.
>You knock on your landlord's door and she slowly opens it.
>She sees you and says, "Don't tell me, the furnace is busted again."
"Actually Tyra , I just wanted to talk."
>"What? Why?"
"I'm thinking about getting auged for my job and I thought that you might be able to tell me some stuff before I decide to go ahead with it."
>"Um, sure. Come on in I guess."
>You both enter her house.
>"What do you do for work again?"
"I'm a computer security expert."
"So what are you thinking about getting done?"
"I want to get bio-interface jacks installed."
>"You know that there's a lot of difference between prosthetics and cyber space jacks right?"
"Yeah, but the surgery is similar."
>"I guess, what do you want to know?"

What do you do?

Well, I have problems with my wing too, so I might be doing something about that.
What I'd like to know is what was the cost for it, and what do you need to keep it working properly?
Are there any problems with it? Does it hurt or feel weird?
>>
>>25670638
How much does it cost, how long is the recovery, and how legal is this? Can my metal be upgraded if they release a better version in a year?

Also, can you feel pain in your leg, phantom or otherwise? Because we struggle with chronic pain every day and if a metal wing can't feel then it might be worth it.
>>
>>25670638
Complications, mostly.
>>
>>25670638
How exactly does you leg feel?
>>
>>25671142
I think the best possible answer to this would be "it doesn't". That would give us hope for a possible surgical solution to our pain.

Not that we'd be able to afford a working wing any time soon, but it might give us the encouragement we need to work on our drug problems since we need to be 24 hours fasting and drug free for any reputable surgeon.

Okay, let's look at what we've got so far.

First, we have a bunch of general purpose questions that could apply to any cybernetics:

Cost
Recovery
Maintenance
Legality
Upgradability
Possible complications

Second, we have questions about her leg that are more applicable to a metal wing than a bio-interface port (these would probably clue her in to the fact that we are curious about more than just a jack in our neck):

Does it hurt
Does it feel 'weird'
How does it feel in a more general sense
Is there any phantom pain

I say we ask everything every anon has suggested. We need to know more.

I remembered that I had to show up at town hall and a brewery the next town over while I made that last post. I'll get to running the quest when I get home... Sorry, I should have said something.

F- "Can I feel it ?"

T- "Excuse me ?"

F- " I said, Can I feel it ?"
>>

We should ask to feel her leg to know what it's like. Then feel her other leg to compare
>>
I'm going to bump this in the hopes that C.D11 comes back before I head to bed, even though I don't even know what timezone he is in.
>>
So are we going to put the moves on her? Because I'd like to try
>>
>>25674560
If you'd like to try then start suggesting things to say that a zebra who owns an apartment complex would find flattering while maintaining a level of smoothness.
>>
>>25674633
...Nice flanks?
>>
>>25674560
I think that would be a bit fast. We'd be better off taking things slowly so we don't end up on the street.
>>
>>25674683
But anon, it's scientifically proven that zebras have the widest hips
>>
>>25674753
I thought that was bats.
>>
>>25674758
We'll have to find a bat latter to compare
>>25674633
We'll just say that we appreciate the work she puts into the rental property and how the furnace exploding totally isn't her fault
>>
>>25674753
I know, but zebras also kick more than horses. Gotta be careful.
