Just something about his demeanor, selling health insurance also. I think really the main character never actually met this man, and he was only saying that to "reintroduce" himself. Every time he pushes him away the guy is very persistent, and doesn't seem to mind when he ultimately walks away.. Just has a big smile on his face the whole time.

I'm fucking terrified, that girl gave me the worst feeling i've ever had in my life, like my heart was going to explode.
