I think its wishful thinking. Just a legend. She very likely couldn't have escaped. Interestingly enough,I went to a thriftstore recently and found a little photo in a very old looking frame that seems to be of Alexei. Wearing a very similar outfit to the many he was photographed in,with the striped collar. But I havent found the pic online so I cant be sure its him. Maybe I'll post it when I go back upstairs and find it.

Thanks for posting. Ball lightning is so rare that early reports were discarded as nonsense.
There is also a connection between the spiritual and observing ball lightning.

A friend once told of an observation where ball lightning glides over a steel fence, hopped through the window and went through a closed door. Very bizarre.

According to the guide in Saigon History museum, this is a 17th carving representing the Buddha. It's 10ft tall. Look at the left "foot". Clearly, there's a thumb where the big toe should be, and the "toes" are actually fingers 6 inches long! The right arm goes behind the figure, and the fingers can be seen holding the left wrist. The fingers are a foot long! The buddha, an an alien?

I'm a hypnotherapist, and I want to see if past lives are real. I need test
subjects.
My current idea for this process is this:
>Pre-talk (any questions you might have left until just before the session)
>Contract (follows below)
>Induction + depth tests (depending on the person, something different)
>Regression to early childhood, a pleasant memory
>Regression to a past life (calm, pleasant moment -- I'm not up for therapy)
>Basic questions:
>>Is it day or night?
>>Are you inside or outside?
>>Are you alone or with somebody?
>>(if with someone) Who is with you?
>>How old are you?
>>What year is it?
>>What's happening?
>>What's your name?
>>What's your surname?
>>Where are you?
>>Who is a known person in the area?
>Then basic positive suggestions (better self-esteem, discipline, happiness, &c)
>Then emergence from the trance state
>We talk about your experience for a while, then I send you the session in mp3
>In the next week or two, you try to confirm the session's findings in history
>I compile those into wiki format and publish them on lvxnox.com

The contract is as follows:

It's been a long time since I've been here. Last I was here was probably in 2011. I missed those creepy nights in my old farm house reading creepypastas with the lights out.
Anyway, I've a topic for all of you here. I'm not sure where else to post this but it's something I enjoy discussing among friends.
It's about perspective, what makes you - you?
If technology ever reaches a point where the human body and mind can be 100% augmented, your memories reprogrammed into your brain, including physical mannerisms and your speech patterns, are you still really you?
At that point, when your mind and body is replaced 100% with machinery and electronics, what kind of conscious would that be? It's no longer organic. No longer human, technically. So is the real you now dead, and replaced by a machine, or is it our memories and thoughts that we created in our life that makes us who we are?
Say you do this, and from someone else's perspective of you, they don't notice any difference(They never knew you became a machine). The only people knowing this are you and the technicians doing this to you.
So with everyone's consensus that you are still you, and you are still creating memories, is it others' perspectives that therefore make you who you are, and not you being what you think you are?

Guys, for the longest time I've felt a presence around me. Not menacing, not positive, simply there. At times it left, but it came back. Many times I've tried to speak to it, but it never answered.
I've always had luck. Wishing for something, and it happens; for example for class to be cancelled, for a major event to happen, for traffic to ease, for a gift to be given to me, or the discovery of money. I've never asked for something too bold or too enormous for fear of losing the little luck I already had. Now, these occurrences may only be coincidental, but so often?
I've also never spoken, to anyone or anything, of these two things. They might be linked, I don't know.
Could /x/ provide me with insight on the nature of these things?

Has anyone encountered a spirit or a thing or whatever that is shapes like a man in a hooded red robe with six arms? It has shown up sporadically since I was a child and I have never found anything like it on the web. It's most vivid manifestation was when I was around seven, appearing in the doorway to my room and staying there for a few seconds before I hid under my blankets. It disappeared when I came back out. Depends if they have returning clients, if they charge up the ass but aren't high profile, etc. Some charge higher fees just to control traffic if they're good, though. If they're particularly gimmicky, pass. If you go to one and they claim there's a curse on you that they can remove for 10,000 dollars demand your money back, they're frauds.
